The FA are hosting the first Women’s Rec / Vets Over 35s 5-A-Side Festival of the season on Saturday 19th September 2026.

Whether you’re an established team, a group of friends looking for a new challenge, or a club wanting to give women’s walking/rec football a go, this is a fantastic opportunity to get involved, meet other teams and enjoy some competitive football! 💪⚽

A big thank you to Essex County FA for their continued support of the EWWFL and for recognising the work that goes into supporting women’s grassroots football across Essex. 💙

We’ve received our League Participation Review, which will help us with planning and development for the seasons ahead.

We’re looking forward to continuing our work with Essex County FA throughout the 2027 season and building on what has already been achieved. ⚽️🙌

EWWFL Individual Awards 2026

South Street Premier League

Congratulations to Toni-Anne Wayne of Beacon Hill Rovers, who joined the league on Matchday 3 and immediately made her mark. Her remarkable consistency in front of goal saw her storm to the top of the scoring charts and secure the EWWFL Golden Boot Award for 2026.

Between the posts, Tanya Chamberlin proved to be one of the league's standout performers. Her superb shot-stopping ability and commanding presence helped guide her team to the league title, while also earning her the EWWFL Golden Glove Award for 2026.

Congratulations to both players on their outstanding achievements. Well done ladies.
