5 things to stop doing in the gym.
1. Skipping core exercises.
I get it, it's the end of the workout and core exercises can be boring as hell! They will benefit the rest of your training.
2. Never pushing to failure.
This doesn't mean push every single set to failure, every single session! However, sometimes we need to go that extra mile to see results!
3. Skipping cardio.
Steady state cardio will help with recovery if you're focusing on strength training.
1 or 2 more intense sessions a week is great if you're looking to aid fat loss.
4. Copying influencer workouts.
A lot of these workouts can contain a lot of junk volume. For example a glute workout with 6 different glute exercises is probably not actually the best for glute gains.
5. Sticking to the same weights every week.
If you're not progressing the weights, chances are you won't see many physical changes.

Things i learnt from lifting heavy weights
1. I'm stronger than I think!
I think as a woman we are taught that we are the weaker s*x and that leads to us believing we can't lift as much as our true potential actually allows.
2. Some days weights will feel slower than they move in real life.
Being able to record sets and watch sets back is super useful. Some days it feels like p**p but you watch it back and it's fine.
3. I love feeling strong. (Nothing else to add here)

1. You won't get bulky unless you're over eating and it wouldn't happen over night.
2. You will get stronger and more confident both inside and outside the gym.
3. If you're just starting out chances are you can lift more than you think!
