Writtle Bowling Club

CMBL President's day on Thursday 6th at Writtle bowling club was to celebrate Wendy's year as CMBL President. Wendy is also the current Writtle President so it's been a busy year. With the Writtle bowls tour still to come in late August. The weather was perfect and the bowls was friendly. Food as always was marvellous as you can see from the desserts table. Well done to everyone who played and helped in any way but particular thanks to the catering team who got the biggest cheer during the speeches. A lovely day we shall all remember.

Mandy Farmer played on Monday and has found that one of her bowls has been taken by mistake. Please check your bowls bag to see if you have accidentally picked up her bowl.

President's day at Writtle BC on Saturday proved to be a great a day for everyone who played. The introduction of air conditioning in the clubhouse over the winter made the excessive heat bearable. As always these days are only possible because of all the volunteers and our organiser. Congratulations to the winners who received their prizes and we all enjoyed the raffle.

A group of our ladies played at Haynes Park gala day yesterday and forgeting the bowling they won the raffle and throughly enjoyed the day.

During the closed season we installed air conditioning in our clubhouse which we used for heating in the cold months and we are enjoying the benefits now. Temperatures are rising but we are prepared. Next Wednesday 8th July is a coffee morning come along from 10.00am until 11.30am. Everyone welcome.
