On 13 June, our coach Rob is taking on a 100km ultramarathon challenge through the Cotswolds

He’s aiming to raise £1,500 to help fund a much needed spinal board and defibrillator for the Chelmsford Chieftains.

What a fantastic weekend at our LTA Grade 3 Tournament 🎾

We were treated to some truly exceptional tennis from incredibly talented young players, with large crowds creating a brilliant atmosphere throughout the weekend. The hill was packed with spectators, the clubhouse was buzzing and the tennis on display was simply outstanding.

A huge THANK YOU to all our amazing volunteers who gave up their time to help make the event such a success — from the kitchen, bar, car park, court supervision and clubhouse teams, to everyone who baked cakes and supported behind the scenes. Events like this simply would not happen without you.

Special thanks also to everyone who came along to support the tournament and create such a welcoming club atmosphere.

We are really looking forward to welcoming players from across the region this weekend for our LTA Grade 3 Tournament, with all junior events fully subscribed and some fantastic young tennis talent on display!

We would love members and non members, families and supporters to come along and enjoy the atmosphere, watch some brilliant tennis and support the club 💚

What a result for Grove Ladies 1! 💪🎾

Yesterday the team battled their way through to the semi-final of the Essex Ladies Senior Summer Cup after a hard-fought victory over Westcliff. Representing Grove were Livia Nightingale (Captain), Annie Rooke, Denise Downey, and Caroline Beckerleg.

It was an incredibly close match from start to finish, with everything coming down to a tense deciding 10-point tie break. Holding their nerve under pressure, Denise and Annie delivered a brilliant performance to take it 10–5 and seal the win! 🙌

A fantastic team effort against very tough opposition – well done, ladies!

Next up, the semi-final will be played away on the weekend of 23rd May against either Thorpe Bay or Gidea Park. Good luck to the team as they continue their cup run! 🍀
