I’m going to really miss this Aquathlon this year! Here’s a reminder of last year, which was absolutely fabulous, so if you haven’t booked this yet, what are you waiting for! An incredible swim in the Olympic aquatic pool which is so smooth, you’ve just got to experience it! The lovely run after with lots of encouraging marshals & members of the public passing through! I’ll look for now, I can only plan ahead for when I leave my current complications behind. Let’s hope next year brings me much more to look forwards to. If you’re wandering whether Aquathlon is for you, I can only say, just do it💪🏻 because life can change in the blink of an eye just like mine did! Before we even got in the water, I spent time speaking with physiotherapists and occupational therapists I know to better understand how I could support Kathryns rehabilitation journey safely and effectively.

Fast forward six weeks and four swim sessions… it’s time to go all in. Military-style determination, with a gentle 2026 twist. Well I left picking up the brick out this week.

Today wasn’t just about swimming. It was about rebuilding confidence, regaining independence, and proving that adversity doesn’t have to define what’s possible.

Watching someone relearn life skills with such courage, resilience and determination is incredibly humbling. Every length completed is another step forward, and I couldn’t be prouder of the progress we’ve made together.

This is exactly why I love what I do. Helping people discover that they’re capable of far more than they ever imagined is one of the greatest privileges of coaching.

To Kathryn my swimmer you’re an inspiration. This is only the beginning. 💪🏊
