What made me become a Consultant?

I first went to Slimming World because my mum had lost her sight through diabetes. I watched her loose her independence which was devastating for her and really scared me.

I’ve had to deal with my husband’s cancer and the loss of my mum which made my journey sometimes rocky. I got there with the support of group and I want to help others achieve their goals.

We all have different reasons for joining and our journey will be our own but in group we have support and a common goal. We can all do this together ❤️❤️

I’m really excited to announce that from the 15th October l will be taking over as the Slimming World consultant at the Millennium Centre, Great Baddow at 9.30am each Thursday.

I have been a member of the group for 4 years, achieving a 4 and half stone weight loss to get to target 3 years ago. I’ve had challenges but have overcome them with the support of an amazing group of people.

Weight loss is not easy but I believe that if we celebrate together and pick each other up when needed then the journey may not seem so impossible.

All are welcome, please help spread the word 🥰

After 22 wonderful years, I’ve made the difficult decision to step away from my role as a Slimming World Consultant with my last group being Thursday 25th June.

It’s hard to put into words just how much this journey has meant to me. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting so many incredible people as they worked towards their goals, built confidence, and changed their lives. I’ve laughed, cried, celebrated milestones, and made friendships that I know will stay with me forever.

To every single member who trusted me to be part of their journey — thank you. Your determination, honesty, humour, and support have inspired me more than you’ll ever know.

I also want to say a heartfelt thank you to the amazing colleagues I’ve worked alongside over the years. Your friendship, encouragement, support, and shared passion have meant so much to me, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been part of such a special community.

While this chapter is coming to an end, I’ll always be grateful for the memories, the experiences, and the wonderful people I’ve met along the way & will continue to be a Slimming World member.
