Spring Chicks Rounders Club

Ahoy, mateys!
This weeks match brought us our third win of the season, shiver me timbers!
We fielded first and limited the opposition to only 6 rounders! We then came out to bat and smashed it all over the field!

Special shout out to our player of the match, Half Pint, aka... Jo Rrrrrrrrrrr! Her movement in the field and trick shots when batting left the other team ready to walk the plank!

We're loving the start to the 2026 season, we've picked up our second league win making it 2/2!
Let's celebrate good times, come on!
Victoria smashed it and stole player of the match for her sensational batting! She was whacking it here, there and everywhere! The opposition had no chance!

Woken up with a WINNING feeling this morning!!
We had our first competitive match of the 2026 season, and absolutely smashed it in the second innings!
Our own little Phoebs clucked away with player of the match, for some sensational bowling and great hitting! She led the triangle and also took some great catches, shall we change her nickname to ' safe hands ' ?

We've started the season off with a friendly match Vs Rayne Oaks, and Jess clucks away with player of the match! As stated by the umpire... 'for her fabulous catch'! It was a sprint in with her famous one handed grab! ⚾️
It was a bit windy and cold, but we got right into our rhythm and came away with the win!

A friendly match this week.. chicks v chicks, or more accurately for this week Pigs v Cobras! Pigs were formidable in the first innings both batting and fielding leading to an impressive victory over their slithery opponents. Then in the second innings the snakes bit back and took the win leaving the pigs licking their wounded trotters. In summary, much fun and giggles had by all 🤗 🐥. Player of the matches as selected by our amazing team of Pip and Jamie were…. Jess for the Cobras 🐍 for a catch that nobody thought possible but was easy for Jess! And for the Pigs 🐷 Victoria who batted every which direction throughout the match. Both deserved winners for the week! Well done Team. 💜💜💜

Match 2 and what a match it was! Everybody played amazingly and we got our first win of the season. Yay!Fielding was on point… balls being thrown far, caught quick and bases covered like flies on p**p. Very well deserved player of the match goes to Kathryn… backstop pro and scoring many many rounders! Well done Katherine and well done Spring Chicks! WE LOVE ROUNDERS ⚾️🐥 x

First match of the 2025 season and what a fight! Some first match nerves in the first innings but come the second, we batted phenomenally! First player of the match goes deservedly to Phoebe aka ‘Little Ginge’ who not only bowled brilliantly but also got 2 amazing catches! Well done Phoebe and well done Spring Chicks… 🐥 it’s going to be another great season ⚾️!!!

In our end of season party, we gave out various awards to those who we feel deserved an honourable mention. However…
