It's natural habitat is on calm lakes, rivers, canals and seas. It's purpose in life, to entertain a A Katakanu is not a canoe!
is is not even two canoes bolted together. The hulls have been designed to work as a catamaran. A Katakanu is a relatively easy boat to use and is ideal for experiential learning. Very proud the the Children's Sailing Trust has chosen to invest in a KataKanu so that even more people, particularly those less advantaged, might enjoy the magic of being afloat. Apparently the UK's most southerly activity centre!?

Some fabulous news!!!
After all the rubbish that we cleared from our river bank, I thought it high time to have the water tested to make sure that it's safe to use because we care about the environment and our customers. WELL THE RESULTS ARE IN, AND HERE THEY ARE:
P.H - 7.6 - Safe levels for a river are between 7.4 & 8.7
Ammonia (NH3) - 0.25 -When ammonia concentrations in watercourses exceed 0.3 to 0.6 mg/l, there are detrimental toxic impacts on fish and other aquatic life, so good for now.
Nitrite (NO2) - 0.0 (ppm) - Readings should be 0.0 or as close to it as possible as even trace elements can harm fish. So a good result.
Nitrate (NO3) - 5.0 (ppm) - The health concern is with levels of nitrate over 10 mg/L. High levels of nitrate in water can be a result of runoff or leakage from fertilised soil, wastewater, landfills, animal feed, septic systems, or urban drainage. Only damaging to human health if consumed.
