Day 3 - Is hitting 10,000 steps a day going to make a difference to your health? 👀
02/01/2026
I thought 2025 was just the year we lost Lola 💔
But I did so much:
I went viral for the first time ever (it’s s**t, I don’t recommend) 📱
I went to Venice! ☀️
I played a TONNE of Warhammer 🎲
And I spent more time depressed than EVER before 😥
My highlights make my year look amazing, and there were some amazing moments 👌🏻
But while everyone is sharing their best bits, remember that those are only the highlights ❤️
And you might realise that your own highlights make up more than you think 👀
It’s nearly January which means it might be time to start your fitness journey 👀
And that might mean signing up to a new gym 🫣
I’ll be the first to say that going into a new gym has always been a nerve wracking experience - no matter HOW much I know it’s irrational 🤦🏻♂️
Luckily, at any gym you go to, there’ll be staff just like those at JD Gyms in Gloucester 🙌🏻
Who are enthusiastic about fitness and want nothing more than to give you a helping hand 👋🏻
Personal trainers and gym staff often have negative stereotypes, and some of these are fully deserved 🤔
But more and more we’re seeing a shift to focusing on creating a friendly and welcoming environment for anyone of any experience level 👌🏻
And I was pleased to say that my experience in JD showed nothing less than that 🤝
Thanks to JD for the day pass to come and check out your new place, it looks epic! 💥
And thanks to , , and for hosting me and looking after me so well - you’re all legends and I can’t wait to pop back and see you all soon 👏🏻
This can be a really tricky season for people who aren’t confident in their body 🫠
Families making comments about weight you’ve gained, or lost, is often justified as “caring”, but the reality is, it isn’t 🙂↕️
You’re well within my rights to respond with:
“I’d rather not talk about my body” and move the conversation along 👌🏻
One of my clients said to me the other day: “In 5 years, will I remember what I wore, or the good times I had with my family/friends” and that really stuck with me 🤔
We often think the only way we can have a good time is if we look a certain way or wear a certain thing 😣
This is NOT the case 🫤
Focus on wearing what makes you COMFORTABLE 🤗
If you know that someone is LIKELY to make a comment about your body, then focus, first and foremost, on protecting your peace ✌️
It’s YOUR Christmas too and you deserve to enjoy it ❤️
December is a time to slow down for a lot of us 😴
It’s the darkest month with the shortest days and everyone is getting ready for Christmas 🎅
There are socials to be had, there’s drinking to be done, food to be eaten 🥘
And all of that means that exercise and going to the gym tends to be put on the back burner until January 🗓️
Whilst I’m all for slowing down in December, if your usual routine includes exercise, stopping could induce:
- an increase in guilt 🫠
- the mentality of having to “catch up” when you’re back 🥲
- a drop in body confidence 🙃
- an increase in anxiety at a time where it’s already normal for us to feel more anxious 🤦🏻♂️
And I’m not saying that everyone should be exercising as normal right the way through the festive period 🙅🏻♂️
But going cold turkey might make you feel worse around exercise in general, AND make it harder to get back into it 🤷♂️
And that’s something I don’t think any of us need in an already difficult month 👀
Set yourself a lower goal - try to ensure you get a minimum of one session per week and that’ll tick you over until January 🙌🏻
The reality of Hyrox for me is that it’s a lot of doing what I don’t enjoy doing 🥲
It’s a lot of running, it’s a lot of discomfort, it’s a lot of pushing myself out of my comfort zone 🫠
The last 6 months training have dragged because of this ⏰
But I’m grateful that I have the capacity to do it - it’s proof that I’m more capable than I thought 💪🏻
It’s proof that I don’t give up when things are hard 😤
And it’s that proof that builds confidence, self belief and the ability to push even further when things get tough 🫣
So don’t shy away from the things you find hard - lean into them 👀
The struggle might be your biggest gift 🎁

“But you’re so good at social media” - the common response to me saying how much I detest posting online 🫠
It’s something I’ve had to work EXCEPTIONALLY hard at - and I still hate it 😤
The endless monotony of trying to think of new and exciting ways to say:
“Don’t be so much of a dick to yourself, you deserve better” 🥺
It’s exhausting and it feels absolutely never ending 😶🌫️
This isn’t me saying “if you’re struggling, just do it” because that isn’t how that works - you can’t just bulldoze your way to being good at something 🚜
But you also can’t get better at something without practicing being s**t at it 💩
So keep turning up - because, eventually, it’ll get to the point where it isn’t as difficult 💁🏻♂️
Or, at the very least, people will think that you’re good at it, even if you don’t think you are 👀
