. Honestly, nothing can prepare you for it. No books, no tv, nothing. It is the most all-consuming, exhausting, rewarding thing. You might adapt really quickly or it might take a bit of time; neither is wrong.
And while we donβt really know what weβre about to walk into after we first lay eyes on our baby, we can still take the time to connect with them in the womb. To make space for them, to make space for the mother we are becoming. To start to build that unbreakable bond. Making time for just the two of us.
This is a huge part of what pregnancy yoga is about. It is absolutely for building stamina safely, stretching and breathing, but I think such a fundamental part is the space between, the rests, the moments of calm between to flowing, where you can check in with yourself and your baby.
If youβd like to join me and some lovely mamas to be for my next 4-week pregnancy yoga course, thereβs still time to sign up. Classes start this Sunday at 9.30am. Tag a mama, comment below, DM or email me for more details π

βJust as a womanβs heart knows how and when to pump, her lungs to inhale, and her hand to pull back from the fire, so she knows when and how to give birth.β - one of my favourite quotes from Virginia Di Orio
My next 4-week pregnancy yoga course is beginning on the 7th March. Iβm grateful to have a lovely bunch of mamas continuing on with me and I have a few spaces available due to some from our most recent course having gone on to have their little ones π₯°
Classes are held via Zoom on Sundays at 9.30am for those who are 14 weeks+ and will focus on:
easing preganncy aches and pains;
gently and safely building strength for labour and motherhood;
creating space for baby;
and calming the nervous system.
No previous yoga experience required.
If you would like to join, or for more information, please DM me or comment below. Like, save and share this with any blooming mama-to-be friends β¨π₯°π

Hello February! Thank goodness for that! Spring is round the corner, a vaccine is on the rollout; I know life in lockdown is still tough for so many (I sympathise with those home schooling but also all the parents of littles with no support group who are stuck indoors day after day, I see you, I stand with you!)
But trying to remain positive, Spring and her pal Summer are on the way πΏπ
Fancy setting yourself up for the weekend with some lovely energising yet comforting hatha flow yoga? Join me on Zoom, Saturday mornings at 10am - DM for booking details π€β¨

Thank you so much to the lovely yogis who joined me for todayβs class! We did a beautiful hip opening flow where we practiced this yummy pose, standing pigeon. I think it is the perfect mix of balance and release, stretching the ankles and back, as well as opening the hips. We all said this week seems to have dragged as we wait for the end of January!
I am loving starting my weekend off by immersing myself in our little online yoga community. If you would like to join next Saturday at 10am, please DM me for booking details, all abilities welcome! π€ have a lovely weekend all π

Happy Friday! How is everyone?
As the leaves turn brown and drop there are always those that remain green and steadfast during the bleakest of winters. So as we move into more uncertainty, let's remember and cherish the constants in our lives: family, friendships, chocolate, wine, gin...or something like that π
Did you catch my video yesterday on hormones and breastfeeding? Please share with someone you think may find it helpful, I think it's such an important topic.

Self care - what does it look like to you? A hair appointment? Bubble bath? Exercise class? (I'll take one of each please π)
Self care can be all those things and so much more. It's the books you read, the media you consume, the company you keep, your connection to nature and your surroundings in general. It's taking care of your true self - your soul - as well as your physical body.
The world is super uncertain right now, so as well as those feel-good appointments, make sure you're nurturing your soul with good stuff too.
If the news is too much, it's ok not to look at it. If there's a relationship in your life that isn't working then it's ok to evaluate it or let it go. Drop what isn't serving you and if you need help, ask for it (easier said than done I know!) π If there's one thing we're all learning from 2020 it's that life is just to dayyymn short to be ticking along, and that actually we need to really take care of hearts, minds and souls during these weird times!
Love yourself like you love your best friend. And if you want to do all that with a massive hot chocolate in hand then so be it πβ

Walking into the week with my must have accessory - a smile! Totally kidding, talking about the pram ππ
I've had a few new followers of my little page lately so thought I'd do a post to say hey π
β’ I'm Roxy! I live in Cheltenham with my 13 month old son and hub. I've been here for 18 months and really love it!
β’ Roxy Marsh Wellness originally started off as Roxy Marsh Yoga almost three years ago. π§π»ββοΈ
β’ Since having a baby last year, I've become more focussed on wellness as a whole - mindfulness, food, physical and mental health - mostly born out of now not having tons of free time to continue delving deep into my Yoga practice, so started ensuring I was taking care of myself in other ways.
β’ I now love posting my musings on how to feel well, with a focus on parents/carers who may not have loads of time!
β’ I'm a copywriter and have a blog where I publish my thoughts on motherhood and life. I currently work freelance now that my son has turned one; feel free to get in touch if you have a business need.
β’ Personal loves include long country walks, family time, good books, the beach, lusting over interiors on Pintrest (we are doing up a C17th cottage!).
If you have started following me recently or been here from the start please share something about you below π€β¬οΈ

My rainbow pickle, fresh air and a massive orange goat (can you spot him?) πππ
It's been great, and necessary, having a few days off social media but I wanted to hop back on to share my latest article with you - my learnings from this year's Awareness Week, up on the blog now, link is in bio.
If you have two minutes I'd be ever so grateful if you could please give it a read, like, comment and even a share if you think it will benefit someone.
I'm still limiting my time on here as I'm trying to be more present so if I'm a little less engaged than usual that's why, but I'm still around! π
Hope you're all having a lovely October, sending love ππ
