As the school term comes to an end 😮‍💨 we wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎄

Next term’s clubs are already looking busy with 2 clubs fully
booked in a day. We currently have 1 space left on football club at Warden Hill and a few spaces remaining on dodgeball club at Leckhampton Primary School, so get in there quick if you want to secure your space.

We say goodbye to the lovely Miss Rand as she goes back into full time teaching. Thank you for all your hard work, you will be missed and the children will be lucky to have you back in the classroom 👩‍🏫

So from me, have a lovely restful break. Thank you for supporting our small business - it really means a lot and we will see you in the new year for our new clubs 🫶

Today was our first last session of the summer term. ☀️

Dodgeball at LPS has now finished and it was time to say goodbye to a bunch of loyal year 6’s. 👋

Some of these children I have been teaching every term since they started dodgeball in year 3. I saw them come in as quiet, shy and eager individuals and I’ve witnessed them grow in confidence - not just in the sport but in themselves - and develop personalities that make me laugh and are a pleasure to be around. I wish them all the best in their new schools, ready for the next adventure 👊

Just a reminder to send your child in with a hat, suncream and a water bottle during this heatwave 🧢 ☀️

We will be lowering the tempo of our sessions in this heat and encourage regular breaks and drinking.

We are looking for assistant coaches to join our team offering after school clubs in Cheltenham. If you have a DBS, enjoy sport and working with children, please get in contact. The new academic year is fast approaching and I’ve been busy trying to implement a new payment method through our website. This will hopefully go live in September so you’ll be able to pay for clubs on your credit/debit card in the future 📱

For parents who were signed up to our clubs last term, you should have received an email with details of the new timetable and a special offer. Please check your junk folder if you haven’t received it and ensure you sign up and pay before the 1st September 📧

I’m off with the family for our holiday and I won’t be picking up emails so please follow the instructions on the email which was sent out on 10th August 😊

I love the Olympics. I love it for showcasing so many different sports. I love it for hearing athlete’s stories and I love it for inspiring a new generation every cycle.

Particular highlights for me:

🥇 🚣 Lola Anderson winning gold in rowing and her story about her dad keeping her discarded letter about her dream to row in the Olympics which she had written as a child. Her dad then gave her the letter back 2 months before he died to encourage her to never give up 🥺

🥇 🏃 Letsile Tebogo winning the 200m after his mother only passed away in May and having her DOB on his spikes 💔

🥇 🏃‍♀️ Keely Hodgkinson winning gold in the 800m, the first gold meal in athletics since Jess Ennis in 2012. Keely is 95% deaf after a tumour was found near her ear at age 13 💪

Courage, determination, resilience - all incredible characteristics to have and something that sport is very good at instilling!

Is it just me or have you done that thing where you work out how old your children will be for the next Olympics? My eldest will be about to start senior school for Los Angeles 2028 😱😅

We’ve had ‘Three Lions’ on every car journey this week as requested by my kids and football fever has well and truly hit our household!

Are your little ones staying up to watch it? Our 7 year old is absolutely buzzing to watch Harry Kane, and also for a late night on a school night 🙈

Yesterday, one of the children made me this card 🥰, it absolutely made my day!

🎾 Yesterday in tennis club, we were learning how to score. I was so impressed with how well the children did, it’s certainly not an easy one to pick up. We had a checklist reminder for the children, and then scores which they could hold up so all children could clearly see the score. All
Children had a go at umpiring and playing in doubles. Well done year 3/4! 🏆
