LEAVERS 2026

This year we are losing such a wonderful group of people. Here's what our leavers plan to do next:

- Hannah, Elsa and Isla are all going to take a gap year (with various exciting plans for each of them!)
- Renée is going to Performers College to study Musical Theatre and Dance
- Tilly is going to BIRD Conservatoire to study Professional dance and Musical Theatre
- Liam is going to Italia Conti to study Musical Theatre
- Néve is going to Performers College to study Musical Theatre
- Poppy hopes to go to Durham University to study International Relations

We are SO proud of this lovely bunch, they are such kind and caring people who all have wonderful futures ahead of them. They'll be missed by us all and we cannot wait to hear about everything they do 💛

Spirit of the school 💛

Our favourite award! This award goes to the student who really embodies the ethos of Harwood Dance - kind, hard working, respectful, encouraging of others and always positive. They are an absolute joy in every lesson (for both the teachers and their peers) and light up the room whenever they enter. They are just lovely!

This year’s winner is Hannah 💛

The Sara Harwood tap trophy for “the love of tap” 🤩

Founder and former principal of the school, Miss Sara, donated a tap trophy for our prize giving. Harwood Dance began as Leckhampton tappers and if you know Miss Sara, you know she loves tap and has always encouraged everyone to do it.

This year, the award went to Tilly! Tilly has always had such a passion for tap and has been a successful tapper on our festival team. She works so hard in every class and always brings such positivity and joy to each lesson. She’s a dream to teach and it’s been so lovely to see someone so enthusiastic about tap 💛

Performer of the year 🪩

This award goes to the student who always performs and feels everything when they dance, both in class and on stage. They were brilliant in the show and are such talented performers.

Alumni news!

Miss Lily had the pleasure of watching alumnus Thomas in his first year show “Where Musicals Meet” with Italia Conti! He was absolutely incredible and it was so lovely to see him living his best life on stage. We are all so proud 💛

Alumni news!!

Last week, Miss Becks had the pleasure of going to watch alumnus Isabella in her final show “Le Corsaire” with BTUKschool. It was so lovely to see her perform!

We’re also so proud to hear that Isabella has successfully secured a place with ProsArt Junior Company in France starting later this year (ProsArt Junior Ballet | Albi Dance Company)! We are so excited to see where this next step takes her - huge congratulations! 💛
