Lorna Yoga has spent the week contemplating surrendering to our own divinity, letting go of attachment, being clear about our intention and playing with inversions. Just one more opportunity to practice with her tomorrow at 10.15 am X
I is for ...
Ishvara Pranidhana, Intention & Inversions Yoga is the embodied realisation of your Divinity, that you are everything and that everything is you. To wake up to this Self realisation can happen instantaneously but mostly it takes work. The practices of Yoga, of which there are many, are that work.

Lorna Yoga continues her Lessons in Love. This week she's looking at Yoga and it's connection to Hinduism and working towards Hanumanasana.
H is for ...
Hanumanasana & Hinduism I tried starting a class in a church once - naming no names - and wasn't allowed to because Yoga is Hinduism and a practice that celebrated one God was not allowed to be carried out in a place that worshipped another. I have respect for people with religious beliefs but I thi...

Have you come any closer to perfection this week? In something? Anything?
When we return to the yoga mat for the hundredth or thousandth time we are exploring our potential.
We have learned that there are countless benefits and reasons for practising.
And there are many different experiences and results.
This week a beginner lady student commented:
“I know it’s only three weeks I have been coming but I can notice little differences already.”
We may be looking for flexibility or posture or calmness. When we begin to search and practise we make progress, constantly moving towards our potential, learning and growing.

Sian Rule Yoga is bringing a Beginner's Yoga course to the studio this Friday...
Chepstow Yoga Space
Fridays 12pm to 1pm
5 weeks
6th February to 6th March
£55 pp
This course is suitable for you if you practiced yoga years ago and would like to go back to the beginning, if you'd like another class to refresh your understanding of the basics or if you're a total beginner.
At the beginning of Siân's journey learning yoga 20 years ago, she was mostly interested in the physical exercises and having some time to herself.
During teacher training it grew to exploring all parts of yoga.
Now she's particularly interested how we can move energy in the body through hand gestures, or mudras, through breathing and meditation techniques.
And as with all things worth learning there's still so much to learn.
And there's no right or wrong starting point.
Whatever aspect of ourselves we work on, we affect the other parts.
Start where the interest points you to and follow the breadcrumbs.
Siân loves sharing her understanding of yoga, and she'd love to welcome you to the course.
To book either class, please go to the website: sianrule.com.
