This morning saw a return of the Dawn Patrol competition on the Mathern Course with a 5.30am Shotgun start..
64 VERY early bird Golfers took part in the Texas Scramble.
Men’s Captain Neil was very grateful to all golfers that took part and hoped they all had a great morning. The golf was followed by a hearty breakfast thanks to Marriott and organised by secretary Steve Lowe and Marriott Golf coordinator Rob Jones. Thanks to both 👏.

Eighteen weary golfers returned home last Sunday from the annual Men's Devon Tour. As well as the traditional fixtures against Teignmouth GC and Stover GC, we played a Pairs Scramble Open Day at Mendip Spring GC on the Sunday. All three courses were in great condition and we were treated to some wonderful hospitality.
As for the results, we managed to win both of our traditional fixtures and Josh Downing and James McManus managed to win 2nd prize in the scramble. Tim Waters and Matthew Waters also picked up 6th prize.
Huge congratulations to Neil, our Captain, for putting on such a successful and enjoyable tour. Additional thanks also to Jo Morgan and Steve Lowe for their contributions to the organisation of the tour.
Roll on next year!

Two Speed Golf teams were out on the old at 0700 hrs this morning. Team Neal completed 9 holes on a buggy in just over 28 min and dropped only 4 shots. Great result Neil. Team Alan followed running and completed the 9 in 32 min and dropped a few more shots than Neil! Just 1 week to go before the actual event. Thanks to so many who have generously contributed £5 to the Captains’ charities. If you have not done so please either click link below or go to IG Members Update Page.

The Club Night regulars didn't let the cold, blustery conditions put them off attending week 9 of the season tonight. Played over the front 9 holes on the Mathern course, a few players managed to defy the challenging weather to produce some excellent scoring.
It is very encouraging, from a club point of view, to see a core group of younger players emerging, not only playing club nights this year but also staying on afterwards and helping to produce a great atmosphere.

Lady Captain Mel led 6 mixed couples away at Lansdown. The weather stayed dry. The match was followed by a stunning carvery where most went up for seconds. St Pierre won 3.5:2.5. A most enjoyable day away.

The Seniors played Mendip Springs at home in their latest friendly match. Although losing 2-6 everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The course was in great condition and vice captain Dave Cresswell did well as stand in captain.

The seniors latest friendly ended with a narrow away loss versus Bristol and Clifton 4.5 to 3.5
The course was in amazing condition and the company was equally as warm and generous. Thanks to B&C for the day and we are looking forward to the return match later this summer
