Today we're at Boldon GC for the Durham County Clubs' Team Championship.
Teams of 3, representing the 15 clubs that qualified, battle it out over 36 holes.

A late post following the results from our away game on Tuesday night. On a day which tipped 40 degrees in places - we managed to fight out a 7-7 draw at Consett. Tough night given how hot it was but 7 points away from home is always a good result. 2 games remaining - Durham at home on Tuesday followed by Ramside Away for the final game of the season.

Today we have had the Chester Bowl - an 18 hole scratch event which is being held for only its 2nd year. We’d like to thank everyone for supporting the event and a huge congratulations to Adam Charlton from Ramside Golf Club who won the bowl with a fantastic 66. 2nd - Jason McGuire of Heworth Golf Club with 67. 3rd - Jack Ainscough of Wynyard Golf Club with 69. Best net of the day goes to Daniel Ellison Houghton-le-Spring Golf Club and Chester with Net 67. Huge thanks to our sponsor tarmac for their continued support on such a great event. Not the result we wanted this evening against Brancepeth Castle Golf Club . Really tough games. One thing we did have was a tremendous course - something mentioned by all lads from both teams which is a credit to Jack and the team. Teams for our match tonight against Brancepeth Castle Golf Club

The final results from a Very hot weekend down at Castle Eden golf club for the County Strokeplay championship. Kev’s 3rd round 66 certainly put him in contention going into the final round - unfortunately a couple of double bogeys on the par 3’s in the final round meant that a final 18 in the 60’s couldn’t be replicated. However, an absolutely brilliant result of 8th overall is something to be proud of. A total of +4 over 4 rounds of golf speaks volumes about the calibre of golf played. Well done Kevin Suggett 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

At the end of the 3rd round the scores are below. An absolutely brilliant 66 from Kev has put him right in the mix headed into the final round. 3 shots off the lead - we’re all behind him. Some are headed down to Castle Eden later to support. I’m sure Kev will be appreciative of anyone headed down. 18 holes to go……

It’s county championship weekend as the lads tee it up down at Castle Eden Golf Club The first round being today, second tomorrow with a cut being made Saturday evening before 36 holes on Sunday. Last year Brian Nelson had a great weekend finishing 10th. Can he, or anyone else, go one step further and challenge the top of the leaderboard?? All the best gents - we shall be keeping an eye on scores throughout the weekend.

Tough night for us away We’d have ideally liked to be walking away with more points to really keep the pressure on the top spot but we still have Durham to play at home so it’s still a possibility. Great win in particular for Adam around his old stomping ground.
