As the cricket season draws to a close, we just wanted to take a moment to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported and contributed to our club this season. ❤️
Every little bit of help, support and effort is appreciated more than you probably realise — both on and off the field.
A special thank you to Darren, who works tirelessly to keep our field looking immaculate week after week. It certainly doesn’t go unnoticed. 🌱
To all our players, thank you for turning up week after week, whatever the weather (except when its raining lol), whatever the opposition and even on those days when you probably thought it was a lost cause! 😂🏏 Your commitment and dedication to the club mean so much.
To our bar staff — Stuart, Alison, Jackie , Ben and Jess — thank you for always keeping the drinks flowing and helping to make the club the welcoming place that it is. 🍻❤️
Thank you to all our members and regulars who come through the doors week after week, have a few drinks, have a laugh and simply enjoy being part of the club. Your continued support keeps the place going.
And to everyone who supports us online and buys the cards we sell to help raise money for the club’s entertainment, thank you. Every card, every donation and every bit of support helps more than you know.
As we now come into the autumn and winter months, we turn our attention to the football season and look forward to seeing everyone again over the coming months. ⚽
But as another cricket season comes to an end, it’s also a time to reflect on what our club really means to us.
For many of us, this place holds so many special memories. Memories of great nights, celebrations, laughter, FRIENDSHIPS and people who have walked through these doors over the years.
Sadly, there are also memories of people who are no longer with us, to name 2 Jonty and Annie. People who were once such a big part of the club and whose presence is still felt in the stories we tell, the memories we share and the moments that make us smile. ❤️
That is what makes this club so special. It isn’t just about cricket, football, the bar or what happens on the field. It’s about people.
It’s a place where generations have come together, friendships have been made, memories have been created and where, even after all these years, we can still come through the doors, sit together, have a drink, share a story and feel like we belong. 🫂
And perhaps that is the most important thing of all — keeping those memories alive and continuing to make new ones.
So, from all of us, thank you to every player, volunteer, member, supporter, bar worker and everyone else who gives their time and support to our club.
Without you, it simply wouldn’t be the same.
