Chester-le-Street Town Youth

The pre U8 tournament was a brilliant showcase of effort and attitude, and while the results didn't go our way, the lads were absolutely amazing.

They showed fantastic teamwork, and most importantly, never stopped smiling.

Every single player did the club proud.

There were a few tears at the end which is completely understandable. It just shows the massive heart, passion, and desire these boys have for the game and their team.

Huge thanks to all the parents for the brilliant support and comfort from the sidelines.

We brush ourselves down, keep smiling, and head into the new season ready for anything!

💙🤍 First Pre-Season Tournament Winners! 🏆⚽

The girls played their first pre-season tournament today, and what a day it was! A fantastic tournament played the right way, with great teams and coaches throughout.

We started the first game a little slowly and didn't get the ball down to play our football. Everything seemed a bit rushed and panicky. After the game, we spoke to the girls about our style of play and the importance of staying calm on the ball – take a touch and either play or drive forward.

The girls took the feedback on brilliantly. From the second game onwards, they looked much more like the team we know they can be. There's still work to do, especially with our reactions and speed of play, but the response from the girls was outstanding.

We went unbeaten throughout the tournament, but we had to work extremely hard in every game to become overall tournament winners. 👏

The girls finished top of their group and then produced two fantastic performances in the semi-final and final to bring home the trophy. 🏆💙🤍

Wow another year another fantastic presentation. I’d like to thank for sorting the boys food boxes out I don’t think there was a scrap left in them. Please feel free for your catering needs to drop them a message fantastic family run deli in Chester le street.

Parents and kids very much letting there hair down. Didn’t get a chance to take much photos but I’m sure they will all come flooding in… firstly again I’d like to thank all the parents because without you there would be no team wind rain and heat your always there cheering on the boys.

Secondly the boys had a fantastic time collecting their awards and playing on the muga running riot on the bouncy castles… we got the privilege to share our presentation again with the new and coming under 9s and tbh we couldn’t find a better group to share it with… not only the kids but again the parents we are just like one big family.

I’d like to take the opportunity too thank our sponsor Peter mccluskey for his ongoing support and sponsorship if it wasn’t for you they would be playing without there kit… so a thankyou from me Andy and all the boys.

Penultimate game of the season for U10 Centurions today. Boys had a comfortable 3-1 game against Whitburn and Cleadon, could have been a couple more for sure, even missing a penalty in the dying minutes.

Tried a new formation today, largely as we have an abundance of players who want to play midfield and up over and it seemed to work for the most part. Will keep trying it to see if we can transition to it or at least have other options.

One more game to go on Thursday, not sure where we are in the league.

Chester Town Girls U10s – Spring Cup Champions!

Chester Town Girls played their final Spring Cup fixture tonight in warm conditions, knowing exactly what was required to achieve their goal.
With a full squad available, the girls knuckled down and got the job done. It wasn’t always pretty, but every single player worked tirelessly for their teammates and showed fantastic determination throughout. The opposition defended well, putting plenty of players behind the ball and making it difficult to find a breakthrough.
The deadlock was finally broken just before half-time when Luna found the back of the net to give Chester a deserved lead. The girls continued to battle hard in the second half, and with the game still in the balance, Olivia sealed the victory with a goal just before the final whistle.
The 2-0 win was enough to send Chester Town to the top of the league and secure the Spring Cup title.
Every player played their part in a tremendous team performance. A special mention goes to Luna, who was deservedly awarded the opposition’s Player of the Match, while Holly picked up Chester’s Player of the Match award after an outstanding display.
What an unbelievable season these girls have had. Every player has progressed individually while helping to build an incredible team spirit that has driven the squad forward all year. Their hard work, commitment and togetherness have been rewarded, and they thoroughly deserve this success.
Now it’s time to enjoy Friday’s presentation evening and celebrate a fantastic season together before looking ahead to the new challenges and opportunities that next season will bring.

A huge well done to the under 10 lions for making it to the final in their tournament today! They were undefeated for 6 matches and were just pipped in the final by a penalty shoot out. We are so proud of them today, they should all be so proud of themselves as they played some fantastic football in every single match.
