Time to welcome our Men’s One captain, TK!
TK only joined us this year; however, he’s had a huge impact since joining the club! He has helped our men’s first team secure promotion in BUCS as well as their win over Salford in the star event in Varsity this year! He has also taken the time to help train the women’s development squad during his time off due to injury, which has helped many of them step up to the first team!

Now introducing our men’s one vice captain, Harsh.
Harsh is always super passionate and full of energy on court. His natural leadership allows him to help others improve and help lead training sessions. With his experience on court, he will be able to dominate the field, and help our mens one team to many victories.
We can’t wait to see what Harsh can do with M1 this season! 🔥🔥

We’re now introducing the Vice-Captain of the Men’s 2nd team!
Will is a setter who is chill, down-to-earth, and a consistent player. Over the two years he has been with us in the society, he has shown immense growth both as a player and in his character, and we look forward to his leadership in this team!

Time to welcome our second social media secretary Rei!
Rei has been with the club for 2 years, her dedication to helping others learn as well as her passion for the sport shows why she belongs on the committee! She’s been extremely caring and supporting for all our teams, and has volunteered numerous times to score our games.
We look forward in welcoming Rei to the committee and what she has in store for us. ✨✨

Time to introduce our first social media secretary Danni!
Danni has been with us for the past year and has settled in to the club amazingly! She’s been a familiar face supporting our teams throughout BUCS and MVL, while also establishing herself on court as a seriously solid opposite and Libero.
We’re so excited to have Danni joining the committee and can’t wait to see what she has planned for our socials next year… especially the crazy TikTok’s. 👀 📷 🔥

Next to welcome to the committee is our lovely Helena.
She has graciously taken the roles of charity officer as well as mental health and well being. We are really grateful with her rejoining the committee as she can bring her useful organisation and task management skills to the team.
Helena organised 2 charity events last year which was the Halloween social event and the charity match vs rowing.
We can’t wait to see what she is able to achieve this year!

Location : Exton Park, Chester
Rate of Pay : £25 per hour (maximum £2,100 per year)
Contract : October–December and January–March (21 weeks in total)

About the Role

As Volleyball Club Coach, you will:

- Lead and deliver structured coaching sessions for club members of all abilities.
- Support the development and progression of student players throughout the season.
- Work collaboratively with club captains and committee members to support club objectives.
- Create a positive, inclusive and motivating training environment.
- Act as a professional role model and ambassador for sportCHESTER.
- Maintain regular communication with the Sport Development Team.
- Complete a DBS check and University safeguarding training prior to commencing the role.

What We’re Looking For
Essentials

- A minimum Level 2 Coaching Qualification in Volleyball.
- A Safeguarding and Protecting Children in Sport certificate.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of volleyball coaching and player development.
- Experience of working with young adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong motivational and leadership abilities.
- The ability to plan, develop and deliver engaging coaching sessions.
- The ability to work independently and use initiative.

Desirable

- First Aid qualification.
- Experience of playing or competing in volleyball at club level or above.
