So today I learned that if you text ‘register’ to 999 you are then able to contact them in case of emergency by text for example if you are choking alone and can’t speak or need police and don’t want the perpetrator to hear you calling them, what a useful bit of information!

In March, our club members wore pink in support of those fighting the battle, in particular for a person who was very special and important to us, who has very sadly passed away a couple of weeks ago. We have therefore been wearing a black ribbon during sessions in memory of Mrs Stella Williams.
Mrs Williams was a lifetime supporter of Bukonkai Karate International as well as our Maltese club. She supported Sensei Colin Williams when he founded the association and when he started Shotokan in Malta, and continued to support Sensei Lee in continuing the legacy. She has not worn a black belt for this, but has worn the Bukonkai name in her heart for the past 30 years.
Bukonkai was in her heart, and she will forever be in ours. Rest in peace Mrs Williams.
