Simple...

*Select one team to win each round. If they win – you’re through to the next round. If they lose or draw, you are out

*Once you have selected one team, you cannot use them again. E.g if you have already selected England, France, Germany and Italy, and all four teams make the semi-final, you are out as you can’t select any of them (unless all remaining people are in the same position)

*The game continues until one player is left standing. If more than one player is left standing, a tie-breaker in the final will be held

*The group stage has 3 rounds of fixture, one team should be picked before each round or you can do all three in one go

*Entry is £10 and the winning pot is a guaranteed £250!!

Euro 2024 Last Man Standing - It’s not as complicated as it sounds
• Entry is £10 by Thursday 13th June
• Minimum prize of £250 to the winner with all remaining money donated to Cancer Research UK for local research in Cheshire and Merseyside
• For each round of fixtures (there are 7), simply pick a country – if your team wins you go through, lose or draw and you’re out.
• You can only pick a team to win once in the competition, so you need to be tactical about who you pick and when.
• All selections must be made by midnight the day before each round begins.
• To make things easier, you can make your 1st 3 rounds picks at the start
• If you forget to pick a team, you will be assigned one automatically. The selection will be the first available team in alphabetical order.
• More than one entry is fine
• An elimination question will be asked at the start and will be used to decide the winner if more than one person remains by the end of Round 7

• Transfer £10 to Stephen Rayner, sort code 60-84-07, account 71812027 (use your name as reference so I know who you are) and then;
• Send your name, how many entries you want (i.e. family members or you just want more chances to win), and your email address to Stephen Rayner;

Euro 2024 starts on Friday 14th June so entries are needed beforehand

Welcome to Euro 2024 Last Man Standing! A few of us (Stephen Rayner, Chris Connolly, Mark Hughes, Melissa Rayner, Jemma Wilson, and Khalsa Hughes) are running the Great North Run on Sunday 8th September 2024 to support Business Beats Cancer Chester with all money raised being donated to Cancer Research UK for local research in Cheshire and Merseyside. Rather than just asking for a traditional donation (although they are more than welcome) we are making it a bit more interesting by giving you a chance to win some money.

It’s a tenner per participant and the rules of the game are below:
* £10 per entry
* Guaranteed minimum prize of £250
* The competition is divided into 7 rounds: 3 Group Stages, Last 16, QF, SF, Final
* Select a team to win in every round of the Euro 2024 Football tournament.
* You can only pick each team once
* If your pick wins then you proceed to the following game round
* If you lose, draw, or have no available teams left to select - you are out of the game, so pick wisely
* If you forget to pick a team, you will be assigned the first available team in alphabetical order so you could just let fate take its course.
* The winner is the last person standing. If more than one person remains at the end, an elimination question will decide the winner.
* Multiple entries per person allowed
* Competition is open to friends and family.
* All monies raised more than the prize pot will be donated to Cancer Research UK

I will ask for your selections closer to the time the tournament kicks off.
