Applications Open!

We are accepting applications for the Ballet Cyrmu Associate Programme 26-27.

The programme is designed to complement students' existing dance training and aims to give young, talented ballet dancers the opportunity, understanding and insight into what life as a professional dancer may entail through a closer and more regular working relationship with Ballet Cymru.

Mae'r rhaglen wedi'i chynllunio i ategu hyfforddiant dawns presennol y myfyrwyr, a'i nod yw rhoi cyfle i ddawnswyr ballet ifanc a thalentog, ynghyd â dealltwriaeth a dirnadaeth o'r hyn y gallai bywyd dawnsiwr proffesiynol ei olygu, a hynny trwy berthynas waith agosach a mwy rheolaidd â Ballet Cymru.

Well done Erin! So unfortunate that the Chester Standard have named the dance school incorrectly.
I am so proud of Erin's achievements. Erin has been dancing with us from 5 years of age and has worked hard up through her exams. She is currently working towards RAD Advanced 1, Grade 8 and ISTD Intermediate Modern Examinations.

DANCE PASSION SWANSEA

Ballet Cymru is delighted to have been commissioned to feature in DANCE PASSION SWANSEA, a celebration of Dance in Wales.

Dance Passion Swansea includes a recital of Dylan Thomas’ poignant Fern Hill, narrated by Cerys Matthews. The dance piece, devised by artistic directors of Ballet Cymru Darius James and Amy Doughty, features this most famous of Welsh poems, with an evocative performance which ends on the beach in Swansea. The film also features the company performing an excerpt from ‘Dance of the Knights’ from the ballet Romeo a Juliet.

Dance Passion Swansea is a co-commission between BBC Arts and BBC Wales, with the support of Arts Council of Wales. It will be transmitted on BBC Two Wales and BBC Four at 8pm on Sunday 3rd November.
