A very disappointing result on the road. Not too much to say. We take the good with the bad, lick our wounds and move on to next week.

The lads are looking to get back on their feet after the heavy defeat last week ⚽️

Today we welcomed Chesterfield Club Reserves

Town started off very positive creating a few chance early on before Jordan finding the net from a scrappy half chance while new signing Seth shielded the ball to make it 1-0. A goal that had been coming from kick off.
Continuing on turning the screw mid way through the first half the ball dropped to joe who hit a lovely half volley into the bottom corner taking a flick off the inside of the post 2-0 town.
Late into the first half ash had an effort denied from a lovely freekick aimed goalwards which Jordan calmly finished however with some very questionable officiating from the linesman was subsequently chalked off.

Half time 2-0

Second half started and we came out swinging again struggling to make much happen in the final third when completely against run of play chesterfield club score from range with a lovely strike 2-1 with a few more opportunities going begging for Town and chesterfield club luckily hitting the woodwork the game finished 2-1
plenty of positives to take into next week.

Full time 2-1
