We are extremely disappointed to announce that the AIR RACE World Championship will not be returning to the skies in 2022.
Despite the tireless efforts and support of all of our race teams, specialist suppliers and partners, some of the challenges presented by COVID and further implications posed by the current global economic situation have simply been too great to overcome.
The safety of our pilots and fans is paramount and without all of the intricate parts required for safe racing firmly in place we have been forced to make this very difficult decision to cancel the 2022 World Championship Series.
We remain totally committed as event organisers, competitors and fans of this incredible sport as we now focus on 2023.
Our thanks go out to fans around the world for their ongoing resilience and support. We’ll be updating on plans and news as it happens – stay tuned.

It is with a heavy heart that we have had to make the difficult decision not to race at Goodwood in July 2022. There are a number of factors that have contributed to this, including significant logistics challenges that have arisen and subsequent reduced working timeframe in the lead up to the event. Whilst it’s a disappointing loss for the 2022 race calendar, we very much hope Goodwood Estate will feature as a race venue in 2023.
With sad news comes some exciting news however - we’re talking with potential strategic multi-national partners in relation to the growing UAM/eVTOL market. As a result, we hope to be adding Korea, Japan and other parts of South East Asia to our race calendar for 2023.

We were saddened to hear of the untimely death of Baptiste Vignes who was tragically killed in an aircraft accident earlier this week.
As well as being an exceptional aerobatic pilot and coach, Baptiste was a talented air-racer and competed in 3 seasons of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship.
He will be remembered by the air race community as a very talented and humble pilot but also as a genuinely kind and caring friend and role model.
He will be greatly missed both on track and outside. Blue skies Baptiste.
