Welcome to The SA Pilot where we dive into training and inspiring. I will be looking to publish a new video weekly as I progress through my helicopter training.
I look forward to sharing this journey with you. I was born in South Africa and moved to the UK in 2017 with the hopes of pursuing my dream to fly commercially. I obtained my Fixed-wing private pilot's licence in South Africa and have roughly 150 hours total time on DA20's, Tecnam P2002 and Cirrus SR20's. After a tough 9 months of late nights studying and flying every opportunity I could, I have passed my PPL (H)! The Skills test is not to be underestimated. I would like to thank my friends and family for all the support you have given me but especially my wife who stood by me through it all from start to finish and who always pushes me to pursue my dreams, I love you more than worlds can describe. I would also like to thank Elite Helicopters and all the instructors that helped me through my training. Definitely the best flight school I have flown with and would highly recommend! They have an excellent team of patient and understanding instructors who want you to succeed. Step 1 done onwards to the next stage...
