Bryony Pitman, a Sussex archer, is through to the last 16 of the women's individual competition at the Olympics! She faces Russian Olympic Committee athlete Elena Osipova early on Friday.
The competition starts with a traditional WA70 (6 Ddozen, 70m) to find the best 64 archers. From there it is a 1:1 match style knockout system; 3 arrow ends, best score gets 2 points, first to 6 points wins.
Archery GB and World Archery are putting up lots of content on Facebook. You can stream everything via Discovery+, or get highlights via World Archery on Youtube. There is also some limited content on BBC iPayer.
Bryony Pitman takes a second win! 🤩🇬🇧
Taking out 6th seed Aida Roman to win 6-2 and progress to the 1/8 round.
Bryony will shoot at 02:35 on Friday 30 July 🤩
