We are a mobile business that operates on Canals, Rivers, Lakes and the sea offering hires, tuition and tours. We have a sign written van that is kitted out to provide our customers with the best equipment that allows the most progressive learning, including numerous shoes, wetsuits, cags, waist belts and buoyancy aids to suit every paddler. We are No1 for internet searches in West Sussex for paddle board tuition and hire, with a healthy line of enquires from potential customers and have a solid base of social media to work from.

TJ Boardhire and Chichester SUP Club SUP Polo squad made a big splash at the Guildford Lido for the The Real Blue Chip Super Club SUP Polo tournament.
With absolutely no water time or training due to no venue, it was fair to say that the Chichester Dragons ran out of puff, the team motto of 'the training is in the event' was put to the test.
Always great to meet up with old friends and to make new ones and good to see new clubs entering the Polo arena.
An awesome well done to our friends at Dittons Paddle Boarding for their well earned achievement of joint first place, well deserved.
Well done to all of the other teams Ripple Rebels, Paddle Cabin, SUPjunkie, Dittons Paddle Boarding and The Real Blue Chip Super Club.

Another awesome adventure, this time in Wales on one of our favourite rivers, The River Wye, guiding for the Water Skills Academy on a 3-day self-sufficient paddle board Gutsy Girls trip.

Day 1 provided a perfect introduction to the river, introducing the paddlers to river paddling, small rapids and perfecting manoeuvring touring boards loaded with kit along a chilled 7km journey before setting up camp and ending the day with wine, chocolate and marshmallows around the camp fire.

Day 2 provided a 19km journey for this group of Gutsy Girls in challenging conditions with a persistent headwind and some fun rapids that challenged everyones skills. This awesome group stood up to the challenge with lots of positive vibes, a hearty picnic lunch and the promise of some squashed cake as a reward for their efforts. The wildlife proved immense with herons, kingfishers and birds of prey providing much entertainment along the way. After setting up camp, we all enjoyed a well-deserved meal at the tasty The.Pizza.Works and reflected on the skills and acheivements of all the paddlers.

Sadly the final day of the journey was cancelled due to the storm weather warnings; however, everyone agreed that this adventure would not be forgotten.

A huge well-done to all of the group, you were all amazing and a pleasure to guide.

We have had an awesome adventure in Scotland as guides for the Water Skills Academy, exploring the lochs and waterways of the Great Glenn Canoe Trail on a four day/ three night self-supported paddle board journey supporting the Gutsy Girls.

Scotland gave us the best of all seasons, challenging the hardiest of paddlers with some awesome downwind paddles, ice cold dips in the lochs and hot chocolate around the campfire whilst rewarding us all with stunning backdrop of the Scottish Munros. A truly epic adventure.

Huge thanks to Cath and all of the ladies who made this trip a real pleasure to support.

Well done to all of our candidates who attended the Water Skills Academy Instructor Training. Perfect weather conditions on the South coast allowed our candidates to hone their skills on the two day course, huge thanks to Greg and the team from Mistral Hayling - Sandy Point Watersports for hosting and providing an amazing venue.

Great day on Hayling Island delivering the Water Skills Academy SUP Safety/Rescue course. Well done to all of our candidates, an amazing day on the water learning new skills, thanks to Mistral Hayling - Sandy Point Watersports for a fantastic venue and training facilities.

TJ Boardhire and the Chichester SUP Club Polo squad made a big splash at the Guildford Lido for the The Real Blue Chip Super Club SUP Polo world championship.

With absolutely no training or polo water time, we beat our previous ranking to end up in third place, an outstanding achievement. The most skillful and visually epic match was against Dittons Paddle Boarding team the Ditton Dolphins, end to end action and near misses kept the crowd on their feet and resulted in another draw.

Goal of the day has to go to Roman who scored against reining champions SUPJunkies, with a team effort that showed the true grit, determination and potential of this awesome team.

Huge thanks to Lucy, Kian, Malcolm, Roman and Mike you were all awesome and well done to all the other teams. Thank you to Brian and Ange and all of the team for organising another great event.

Are you looking to become a qualified SUP Instructor or upskill your personal paddling.

TJ Boardhire are running a Water Skills Academy one day SUP safety and rescue course on 29/04/2022 and two day Foundation Instructor course on 30/04/2022-01/05/2022 (Fri, Sat, Sun), the courses will be run at Sparks Marina at Mistral Hayling - Sandy Point Watersports.

This course is designed for those who wish to teach SUP basics to beginners and improvers in a sheltered water environment. The course is very hands on with both classroom based learning and water based practical training.

To enrol on the course please explore the links below for requirements and paddling ability. You must also hold a current first aid certificate, however this can be completed after the course.

It is with regret that we must announce that despite our best efforts that we have been unable to reach a workable agreement with our venue for this coming season.

This means that we no longer offer lessons, hires and club activities on the Chichester Canal, so no more Polo, SUP fitness, race team and social paddles.

We plan to use this opportunity to take some time out and develop our interests in Adventure and Expedition guiding so will have some events that may be of interest coming up soon. We will also be offering more Water Skills Academy training such as ISup safe, Adventure Paddler, SUP Instructor and Adventure Guide training so please watch this space for updates.

We would like to send our deepest thanks to all the customers and club members who have supported our business since we started in 2015. We have been proud to be the number one Outdoor activity in West Sussex on TripAdvisor for the past five years, and to have been part of supporting so many groups, individuals, and families to learn to paddle board and to all of the Chichester SUP Club members who have supported the club and hopefully gained some friends, new skills and a new hobby.

This is a time for new beginnings, and we firmly believe that everything happens for a reason, so let’s see what the next chapter brings.
