๐Ÿค SOULFUL SUNDAY STRETCH FUNDRAISER ๐Ÿค

Soulful Sunday Stretch is back for one night only! I am holding a class at 8pm on Sunday 16th April live from my studio via zoom.

Relax. Breathe. Give yourself the gift of some time, just for you.

We will move gently and mindfully, creating much needed space within the body and mind. Holding stretches for a little longer and breathing a little deeper, we will incorporate lots of twists and side bends to open up the body and release tension.

Light a candle, grab some cushions and a blanket for a few minutes of blissful meditation at the end of the class. PJs are most definitely allowed, as is falling asleep!

This is just one class in a week full of events arranged by my lovely friend Nicky in memory of her dear friend Katy who very sadly died last December. Money raised will go towards St Catherineโ€™s Hospice in Crawley where she was cared for.

I am so happy with my new logo designed by the very talented ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿค.

I am an incredibly indecisive person who over thinks everything (my friends and family = ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜‚). Choosing a logo has been something I have found really hard!

Thank you for listening Chloe and for encouraging me to follow my instincts on this. I loved working with you!

W H A T I S P I L A T E S ?

Pilates involves a sequence of exercises which aim to stretch, strengthen and balance the body.

Your core is the powerhouse of your body and it is these muscles that support good posture and maintain overall health and well-being. As you become stronger and more familiar with the exercises, new challenges are introduced to allow you to gradually progress in a safe and effective way. The result is a toned, lean, aligned and strong body.

Joseph Pilates devised Pilates in the early 1900s as a means of physical fitness and total body well-being. The six core principles, which are integral components of each Pilates session, are:

- concentration
- centering
- precision
- flow
- control
- breathing

Originally popular amongst dancers, gymnasts, boxers and professional actors, Pilates has now become accessible to the wider public โ€“ from those who want a stronger back or core, to those with specific injuries or medical problems.

Pilates is a form of total body conditioning that is accessible to people of all ages and all levels of fitness.

Pilates is for anyone who is interested in improving the way they look, feel and move. Pilates is beneficial for those who have never exercised before, as well as those who have exercised all their lives.

You will also learn to incorporate Pilates into your day-to-day life e.g. how you stand and walk, how you exercise, sit at your desk or drive a car. Pilates allows you to move your body, focus your mind, increase body awareness and balance strength with flexibility.

As with any form of exercise, real change requires commitment. Joseph Pilates was quote as saying, โ€œin ten sessions you will feel the difference, in twenty you will see the difference and in thirty you will be on your way to a whole new bodyโ€.
