The Oasis Leisure Pools and Health Suite Complex

We will be running a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification during the February 2022 Half Term at The Oasis Leisure Complex.

Lifeguards benefit from varied working hours that can easily fit around other commitments. Gain the experience of working within a team and have the opportunity to progress within the leisure industry! Most leisure managers start as pool lifeguards.

Every candidate attending a NPLQ course must be 16 years old at the time of taking the NPLQ final assessment and be able to:
• Jump/dive into deep water
• Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
• Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water
• Tread water for 30 seconds
• Surface dive to the floor of the pool
• Climb out unaided without ladder/steps

The STA Level 3 Award in Pool Plant Operations provides learners with the skills and knowledge to maintain and operate a pool, spa and interactive water feature plant, ensuring safe, clear and hygienic water. This qualification enables learners to progress their education in other leisure and recreation related qualifications. Gain experience / continue employment in leisure management, maintenance or train to become pool plant tutors

Essential maintenance works are being carried out in the Oasis Complex from Sunday 23rd Feb until Sunday 1st March, the opening times will be reduced to the following -

Sunday 23rd February 2020
The Oasis Complex will be closing at 5pm

Monday 24th February 2020
The Oasis Complex will be closed ALL DAY

Tuesday 25th Feb until Sunday 1st March
The Main pool will be CLOSED
The Leisure pool will be open 10am - 7pm
The Gym will be open as normal
Aqua & Fitness classes will run as normal
