2025 Mighty Minis Racing Champion π
Thank you to everyone for the support and messages, not just since clinching the title yesterday, but across the year, it has been phenomenal.
This wouldn't have been possible for a second time without Octane racing for all the prep and set up, Ahmed Shahrabani for the loan of his engine at Thruxton Race Circuit, and my sponsors for their continued support:

We haven't quite finished the season yet, with 3 races at Portimao during the Algarve Classic Festival weekend in 3 weeks, and a timed sprint in the historic mini at Goodwood in November!

What a weekend for my first time racing at the Silverstone Festival with Masters Historic Racing!
P3 in class in the Transatlantic Touring Car Trophy (pre '66) π
A grid of 45 cars which included 10 Mini's, the rest being Mustang's, Falcon's, Lotus Cortina's, full of professional drivers, and a weekend crowd of over 100,000.. It was daunting to say the least!
A race long 45 minute door to door battle with Dan Lewis was mega. Scott and Mark were further up the road taking the win, after an unfortunate incident early on for Phil Bullen-Brown who embarrassed us all in qualifying!
Thank you Scott Kendall, Connor O'Brien, and the IMS team for a superb car, and for looking after us all weekend.
I hope to be back again next year π

Thruxton Race Circuit Thruxton Retro for round 3 of the Mighty Minis Racing Championship - Where to start.... π
Qualifying was epic, with a P1 over two seconds ahead of the rest! The car felt incredible on the fastest circuit in the UK.
Race 1 - Battling for P1 after 10 minutes, my engine decided to expire after overheating issues, even after heat management from lap 2, in what was 30 degrees air temp..
There was no chance of repair as both the head and block were finished.
Then the first superhero in this story arrived. Ahmed Shahrabani lent me his engine, however the decision to proceed for various reasons wasnt made until 5 hours until we were back out for race 2.
Then the second superhero arrived, Steve Rideout of Octane racing began to remove the engine from Ahmed's car, and replace it into my car. It was a good job Leon Carter arrived in workwear to assist!
After nearly 5 hours and a brief run up and down the paddock, I found myself sat in the assembly area ready to go from the back of the grid, after thinking that we would be back home in Norfolk by early afternoon!
On the opening lap, I came from the back of the grid and found myself in P1 by the end of lap 1! The temperature rose significantly again, so i found myself looking after the engine as I couldn't imagine anything worse than destroying Ahmed's! I held back for the entire race until the last lap, where I decided to have a go into the last corner, but it didn't pull of, and I crossed the line in P3. After an unfortunate penalty for the winner, I was promoted to P2, somehow keeping my championship alive!
It was a weekend of the lows and highs of motorsport, but it shows what can be done when everyone comes together with the drive to perform in a sport we all love.
Congratulations Gregory Jenkins on your double win, Will Burnham on a double podium (and almost 2nd win!), and Morgan Bartley for your first podium in a freshly built car.
MASSIVE thank you's to Ahmed, Steve and Leon, who without their kindness and determination, would have meant the weekend would have been over with no points scored.
The race is now on to sort a new engine before round 4 at the Brands Hatch Mini Festival in August!

A marvellous time with Masters Historic Racing at Brands Hatch last weekend ππ₯
A great result on track for my first time racing this freshly built little pocket rocket, which performed absolutely faultlessly for an hour of racing round the GP circuit!
Thank you to Octane racing for all the prep and support over the weekend - The historic route was always the plan when I first met you at Combe, 3 years ago!
To Ades Auto Repairs for the pre-season prep and for coming to help out during the race on Sunday.
And to my family and friends for all the support which is always appreciated, but even more so on a weekend like that when racing against Mustangs, Galaxies and Cortina's, which are being driven by former BTCC champions!

Another strong haul of points at Silverstone for rounds 3 and 4 of the Mighty Minis Racing Championship!
Two epic battles in both races, with myself and Gregory Jenkins coming out on top.
There were a few issues, which meant that Steve Rideout of Octane racing was kept very busy, even replacing the crank on his own engine after a retirement in race 1, only to go on and get a podium in race 2! A well deserved result.
Also a special mention to new father Ahmed Shahrabani who achieved a podium in race 1, with it being his first time out in the car since the regulation changes, other than a half hour test on Friday!
Next up is a test day at Brands Hatch on Monday with Steve to set the Historic up ready for my first ever race in it at the end of the month with Masters Historic Racing!
