FULL-TIME RESULT
Eton Manor 4s 53–14 Woodford 3s
Woodford started the game camped in Manor’s 22 but couldn’t turn the pressure into points. Manor then scored two back-to-back tries down our left edge, and that became the story of the game.
Woodford held onto the ball for long periods and made good ground, but fundamental errors kept relieving the pressure.
Unfortunately, we conceded too many soft tries, along with a couple against the run of play, while injuries meant shuffling players around.
Credit to the lads, we kept playing until the end, but the better team won on the day.
SPECIAL MENTION
Five brothers pulled on the shirt for Woodford: Fin, Cam and Murray Bliss, alongside George and Arran Davenport.
Tries: Fin Bliss, Rob Yiannakou
Conversions: Fin Bliss (2)
