Su day morning g paddle from The Old Swan at Radcot OX18 2SX. Great access point, gentle slope to on board.
Beautiful wide river, headwind coming back downstream but easily manageable.
Great pontoon at the lock.
Probably my favourite location so far.....

3hr Morning paddle at Thrupp (on water by 09.30) Plenty of parking by Annie's tearoom. £4.00 for the day.
Annie's tearoom looks lovely and there were plenty of people there by the time we finished our paddle.

Evening paddle, launch at Thrupp close to Kidlington onto the Oxford canal.
Parked along lane as the car park by Annie's tea room closes at 6pm and yes they do lock the gate 😁 and cut through the footpath to the canal.
Headed towards Enslow,
Portage as lock, great wooden platform to get in and out, not big but it works.
Lots of friendly people in canal boats, canal was very quiet and peaceful.

Beautiful 4 miles on the Thames. Launched at Rose Revived headed upstream to the lock and back. Bitten to death by midges, but still a chilled relaxed paddle

Seen that Thrupp is good as a launch site for the river, anyone used this? Where is the best place to launch?
