Congratulations to the following REME Carpers who have qualified to compete in this year’s Inter Corps Championship Competition!

In first place and our REME Champion of 2026, Rudi Strydom! 🥇

Rudi came out last in the peg draw and had a tough 24 hours with no signs of fish, but, with his hard work and determination he turned it all around! Rudi started bagging up and managed to get 3 30’s, his biggest was 37lb 7oz 🐋
His grafting lead him to finish in first place with a top five total of 158lb 12oz and crowned him our REME Champion 🇷🇴

In second place, Dan Bell 🥈

Dan placed third in the peg draw and used his watercraft skills to select a peg he had noticed the fish were feeding in. This decision served him well as he managed to get a spot going and landed 14 beautiful carp!
Out of those 14 there were two 30’s, his biggest being 34lb 15oz and his top 5 weight being a mega total of 148lb 9oz 🎣

QE4 REME CHAMPIONSHIP 🇷🇴

And that’s a wrap! Last week the REME Carpers attended their last qualifying event this year at Hardwick and Smiths, a brilliant 72 hours with some mega carp being caught from all over the lake and some impressive mosquito bites! 🎣☀️

In third place is Dean Outen 🥉

Dean didn’t have the best of luck in the draw for pegs, placing 20th out of 24, but that didn’t stop him! He managed to land 7 fish with his top 5 total weight being 125lb 9oz.
His biggest carp being 30lb 8oz ⚖️

CATCH REPORT 🚨

Down on the GUY’s syndicate, JK has been putting a serious amount of fish on the bank the last 3 sessions.

Baiting heavily post spawning, he’s landed some absolute stunners on Gaunts and Unity lake respectively.

A total of 110kg of Pellet, tigers, H**p and a touch of boilie have tripped up 6 fish over 30lb topped by a very spawned out Sergeant at 35-08.

QE3 PB’s 🚨

Multiple PB’s were caught over our QE3, and that only means one thing! 🪣

Rudi - 34lb 10oz
Oliver - 22lb 9oz
John - 34lb 5oz

In first place, Joe Hooper 🥇

Although coming last in the peg draw, Joe had a mega session with huge success on his solid bags sent at range 🚀 After noticing that his one roaming solid bag was producing he made the tactical change to put all three rods onto roaming solid bags which landed him 3 30s, one being PB called ‘Betty’ at 35lb 5oz! 🐋
His critical thinking and great watercraft lead him to 10 runs, 8 fish landed and his top 5 with a total weight of 148lb 9oz ⚖️

In second place, John Kittle 🥈

The BCAC qualifier held before our event yielded 42 fish to 16 anglers. JK had 36 by himself!

Doing what he does best- fishing at range in testing cross wind conditions, JK went through 65KG of bait with double and triple takes the norm.

Whilst not able to get through to the 30s despite changing his approach several times, JK still accrued an impressive top5 fish weight of 128lb 13oz.
