Peacefully, at Borders General Hospital on Monday 18th December 2023, David, aged 82, much loved husband of Anne. Proud father and doting grandfather to all the family.
A service will take place at Chirnside Parish Church on Tuesday 9th January at 12.30pm followed by interment in Chirnside Cemetery at 1.30pm to which all friends are welcome. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Ward 4 BGH.

Bowls is one of the biggest participation sports in Scotland with over 50,000 playing members of clubs. We are currently seeking to recruit the following positions to lead our new Drive to Success – Podium Pathway:

• U18 Programme Lead
• U25 Programme Lead

Bowls Scotland is looking for passionate, motivated and organised individuals to cultivate a positive performance environment that inspires Scotland’s most talented young bowlers to success at the British Isles Internationals.

✅ Now that we have released our 2024 Calendar of Events and Drive to Success – Podium Pathway, we are pleased to launch our open expression of interest form for all bowlers throughout Scotland.

With our new performance vision comes a new process for our talented players to identify themselves to Bowls Scotland. In replacement of the previous application form and trial, the expression of interest form collates personal details, affiliated club and identifies required standards involved in participating for Scotland that must be complied with.

⚠️ All bowlers wishing to be considered for the Senior, U25, U18 and Para Scotland international teams in 2024 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗧 complete an expression of interest before Friday 15th December by 5pm.
