Multi- Directional Movement ๐งญ
The body was designed to move in every direction.
Modern lifestyle can often lock people into the same movement patterns, day in day out.
Multidirectional movement helps to develop:
๐คธโโ๏ธ Greater mobility โ encouraging freedom and range of movement
๐ช Functional strength โ teaching your muscles to work together
โ๏ธ Better balance & stability โ challenging your body to respond and adapt
๐ง Improved body awareness โ building control and cognitive connection
๐ More adaptable movement โ preparing your body for the unpredictable ways we move in everyday life
We donโt live our lives moving in straight lines. We reach, rotate, turn, step sideways, bend, twist and change direction constantly.
Learning new and varying ways to move helps to build a more resilient body and mind.
One of the many reasons I love our standing Pilates section, is because it challenges the body to move, stabilise and control from different movement planes.
This section of the class is about helping you move with more freedom, control and confidence ๐ซถ
