Don’t give up on your first hurdle; you didn’t stop trying to cycle when you first fell off your bike. So why give up when you fitness doesn’t go to plan; you didn’t feel like training this week or you’re eating all the food. These things take time to learn and get better at, as with anything, and if it’s one thing most of us have at the moment is time, so don’t give up, keep trying and if you’re truly struggling then reach out to someone who can help you.

Wanted to progress my running so I decided to attempt my first ever weighted run. I didn’t have much of a goal in mind as had never done before but was hoping for sub 30’ 5k so very happy with my attempt, especially as it was so hot! Didn’t have a running vest either so just put some light dumbells in my bag πŸ‘Œ.

Don’t look for excuses, look for challenges 😁πŸ’ͺ

During this lockdown a lot of us have found we have a lot more time on our hands (excluding our amazing keyworkers obviously). And even if you are working from home you’re not having to commute anywhere thus giving you that time.
So what are you doing with your extra hours?! Being creative & learning a new skill 🎸, studying πŸ€“, spending time with your loved ones πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦, focusing on yourself πŸ“–, or working on your health & fitness πŸ’ͺ?
Whatever you have decided are you achieving what you have planned? Are you feeling more connected with people? Are you more knowledgeable? Are you feeling fitter or healthier?
Now is the perfect time to work on these or our weaknesses in our lives πŸ‘πŸ˜Š. Don’t come out of this wishing you had done more and used the time you had. Make sure you are stronger physical and mentally coming out of this with no regrets and having done whatever you possibly could. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘Œ

The least you want to do something, the more you should!!

Took inspiration from the legend today and did something I absolutely hate... intervals πŸ™ˆ! I really didn’t want to do it and kept putting it off but feel absolutely amazing now πŸ˜πŸ‘

As much as I used to be a runner, I really do struggle these days but want to take this time to work of my weaknesses and get my 5k time under 25 minutes. So I gave interval session a try, 3 sets of 7mins running at my ideal 5k pace and I absolutely smashed my first 1k with a record πŸ‘Š although I’m not quite sure I could keep that up for 5k just yet but gotta keep trying 😁πŸ’ͺ.

Finished off my interval session with a nice stretch, catching up with yoga session from last night... Now that’s what I call a Good Friday πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘.
