We are back walking again and keen to make the most of the lovely summer weather whilst we can. We are meeting at 9.15am this Thursday (15/7) at Cecily Hill gates for a walk of 6ish miles & coffee after at The Beano. Some background to the group below......
I started this group as I was new to the area and felt it would be a great way to get to know like minded people, explore the local countryside and get some weekly exercise and fresh air......I’m pleased to say that it has been very successful on all counts. We aren’t too serious but all enjoy a decent walk...we have been known to stray from the intended route occasionally but the plus side is that we get to see even more of our beautiful countryside.
We aim to meet and walk once a week (usually Thursday mornings but occasionally other days), anywhere between 5 and 10 miles. Well behaved dogs are very welcome and we try to find a dog friendly coffee/lunch stop en route.
So if you are new to the area like me or just fancy getting to know some new faces and getting away from it all for a few hours come and join us. No commitment to come every week, just join us when you can. Suggest letting us know you are coming though by commenting on this page or message me to make sure we don’t leave without you.
Ciren Walks
Well behaved dogs very welcome to join us.
We are a small, friendly, not too serious group of like minded people who meet once a week to walk, get to know new people and explore the local countryside and coffee houses.
Ciren Walks are taking a break until the current situation has settled down and we have some normality back. Keep walking though, fresh air and exercise will help us all in many ways.
Keep watching for details of our next group walk, hopefully not too many weeks away. 😎
We are taking a break for a few weeks to allow the mud to settle and a few holidays to be taken. Next scheduled walk will be on Thursday March 12th..........watch this space for further details.
Unfortunately we will not be doing the Haresfield Beacon walk today but will revisit this one in the coming weeks. Watch this space for details of the next walk.

Fabulous 7 mile walk around Chedworth today 😄. Missed having a coffee stop en route and the NT cafe at the Roman Villa not yet open so next week is ‘Bring a Thermos’ week!

A fabulous walk from Miserden today, thank you to Alison for getting us round without getting lost! We are so lucky to have places like this right on our doorstep. Coffee after at The Carpenters Arms rounded off a lovely morning.
We will be walking next THURSDAY (30th) from Chedworth, watch out for details under the events tab.

A new challenge for the warmer months......
I tried to add this description to the home page but it’s too long so rather than bin it I’ll post it here instead! Very much looking forward to some (hopefully) drier weather for nest week’s walk. 😎

Think I’ll go the other way.......😳
We are postponing this week’s walk due to the very stormy weather, the Miserden walk will now be next Tuesday (21st).
I’ve just updated the details under ‘Events’ for this week’s walk. All very welcome to come and join us, perhaps let me know by replying below if you are coming then we will make sure we wait for you. Anyone very welcome to join us, we usually aim to walk 5+ miles, further when the weather improves but at always at a sociable, chatty pace. We have been known to not always completely know where we are but haven’t got lost yet!!
