Firstly I hope everyone reading this is keeping themselves safe 😁 I personally have found myself busy training clients via video calling, and filming videos to help people keep fit at home. Whilst not of Hollywood production standards, they are good enough for you to follow at home. And may help keep you sane!
Is very important we all keep fit, and if the worst happens, hopefully will recover quicker. So if need ideas, or want to watch me jumping around like an idiot, the go to YouTube 'Jason Stallard PT.

As we are all very aware, we are facing uncertain times, and in the fitness industry, people are afraid of the gym, doing classes and having personal training sessions. But there are options - Go outdoors, have a walk. Providing you keep a safe distance from others, the risk is minimal. Alternatively, do a workout at home. Will help keep your body and mind healthy. Will exercise make you skinny? I think the simple answer is NO. But unfortunately we are bombarded with workout plans from inexperienced trainers or Instagram fitness 'experts' telling you that subscribing to their exercise based fat-loss routine will make the pounds fall off. As a personal trainer of course I think everyone should exercise, but this is not the major factor when losing weight. [ 108 more words ]

It is now autumn, and most of us are covering up and maybe not quite as concerned about health and fitness. BUT..... Now is the time to start getting into shape for next year. Maybe think about a goal for next summer. If you build a solid base over autumn/winter, then putting the finishing touches once weather warms up in 2019 is going to make life much easier. As the years pass by, our bodies change. So we also need to change our approach to fitness. When we were 20 years old, we could spend our weekends drinking/partying and then turn up at the gym/fitness classes with no ill-effect. As we age the rate our bodies repair slows down, so we have to change our approach. What I would recommend is if you are in the gym five days a week weight training, then consider swapping at least one of those days for a stretching session/yoga etc. [ 98 more words ]
