October half term activities as follows:
Tuesday 27th PONY DAY and spooktacular gymkhana. 10am-3.30pm bring a packed lunch. The treats are on us. £75 each unlimited numbers.
Thursday 29th Hacking in Cirencester Park.
2 x groups of ability appropriate rides. All ages and plenty of qualified staff to help.
11am for an hour. £60 each. You are most welcome to arrive early to help tack up and stay to put your ponies away.
First come first served so get your bookings in.
All other children’s lessons will be brought forward one hour in the afternoon and will go ahead as usual.
There are lots of other daytime spaces available if you want to group together for a specific lesson. Maybe a jump session for yourself and friends. Just ask and we can make it happen.

We are now looking for one or two older, well educated and kind small ponies ( under 13h ) to join the gang at Greenhill.
The perfect pony for us can be older but must be sound and predictable. A family pony who perhaps isn’t getting as much work as needed or a bored one needing a bit more to do.
We look after all our horses exactly the same, from competition horses to school ponies, everyone gets the same love and attention.
Our ponies are not stale and over worked, they are expected to work 4/5 days a week for 45minutes a day, twice on a Saturday in interesting and varied lessons.
They have a mix of everything and with Cirencester Park at our gateway they experience hacking out off-road, along with Pony days, gymkhanas, regular daily care and lots of hugs, it’s a perfect life.
We ideally would like loans, LWVTB or reasonably priced.
Other options are working livery if your pony and child struggle with the lack of facilities in the winter. Long and short term loans are possible.

This weekend we lost one of our shining lights of Greenhill. Our beloved Tigger who has given us so much, and taught so many children to ride, lost his battle with a very short illness.
Tigger was the best. Thank you Tigger you beautiful, kind and generous boy, we love you and we miss you ###

We say our goodbyes to this weekend as she moves on to pastures new to Calcourt Equestrian
Darcey has grown up at Greenhill and we couldn’t be more delighted her gap year is being spent with some pretty brilliant people. Good luck Darcey you will be missed and you are always welcome back.

Finally we have been able to get back out and compete and school after the busy and hot Summer we have had.
Molly and Dory had a fun and successful outing today at Hunters dressage scoring a respectable 65.something %. It was lovely to see such a happy and relaxed combination particularly as Molly has never ridden a test on Dory before.
Scarlet made use of the rain and better ground conditions to take Homer xc Davina Etherington-Smith ahead of Gatcombe next weekend and Rectory Farm Arena to practice showjumping.
Along with all the usual activities at Greenhill we are managing to shoehorn in a big Groundworks project of replacing the floor in the main yard barn this coming week. There will be a fairly significant amount of disruption to the usual daily workings of the yard so please be patient and if you are coming to ride be aware of the plant machinery and find a staff member for guidance on where to go.
