Saturday 19th September sees our final award event of the 2026 season. The Ayrshire Bowling Association was formed from the inaugural Glasgow / Ayrshire tournament created by The 13th Earl of Eglinton & 1sr Earl of Winton.
On Saturday the current Earl, (19th Earl of Eglinton / 7th Earl of Winton) will attend Irvine Park Bowling Club to present the Eglinton Jug to the winners.
We will play a game, Irvine Park versus a combined team of Cumbernauld BC (Glasgow Winners) , West Kilbride BC (Ayrshire Runners up), Glasgow Directors and Ayrshire Directors.

Congratulations Irvine Park Bowling Club on their win.

Each year the Ayrshire President chooses a charity and as an Association we raise money for this.
This year our President John Dickie has chosen Alzheimers Scotland. So far as an Association we have raised over £3,000 towards this, but we want to try and get it higher.
One of our Directors has kindly donated a tour of Celtic Park for 4 people which can be used any time before the end of the football season.
This is a prize of over £200. So we are going to auction it to help raise more money for the Presidents Charity.
To bid, simply email [email protected] before Saturday the 21st November 2026. The highest bidder will be announced at our AGM this year on Wednesday the 25th November.
This will also be sent to clubs asking them to put it up on noticeboards.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Wigtownshire Bowling Association Secretary Brendan Handling. Brendan was a phenomenal servant and a great character throughout the Bowling community. Our thoughts with Marion , family and friends .

A MESSAGE TO EVERY AYRSHIRE UNDER 25 PLAYER.

On behalf of the Directors of Ayrshire Bowling Association I would like to say a huge thank you to every Under 25 player who has played for Ayrshire this year in any capacity.
The skills. the Directors and supporters have seen this year, show that bowling in Ayrshire has a great future.
Our Top Ten team took us all the way to the Scottish finals. The result did not match the determination of all of the players to win.
Aimee Robertson showed great character to take the game all the way to 20 all. Our Pairs team of Jamie Noon and Robbie Dunlop had a hard game but again showed great spirit to stage a fight back against good opposition. Our Triples Cameron Cairnie, Jake Mcmillan and Joe Bell had two tremendous results and helped take the whole team to within a whisker of the Trophy. Our fours Emily Houston, Kieran Hamilton, Mason Carson and George Robertson again showed the fighting spirit we have come to expect from them to narrowly lose out.
We hope to see all of our Under 25 players next year and perhaps some new and rising talent coming through. Keep an eye out for the Trials next year.

The final of the Scottish Under 25 Top Ten saw a result in favour of Glasgow.
Singles Ayrshire 20 Glasgow 21
Pairs Ayrshire 13 Glasgow 16
Triples Ayrshire 13 Glasgow 8
Fours Ayrshire 17 Glasgow 22.

Glasgow won 6 points to 2 BUT overall there was only 4 shots in it.

Congratulations Glasgow Bowling Association Under 25's.

Sunday 6th September our Under 25 Top Ten team travels to Anchor Bowling Club, Paisley, to play in the Semi final of the Scottish Under 25 Top Ten competition. The first game starts at 11am and if we win the final is at 2pm.
Come along and support the team.
