Another celebration for the Spen Juniors! 🙌 Winners of the British Parks 5-a-side in Birmingham representing Yorkshire.

The lads; Lewis (captain), Lucas, Harry T, Harry B, Seb, Archie and Savile Park bowler Alfie, played 3 games in their group and beat Shropshire A and East Midlands A. They lost to Warwick and Worcester A but it was enough to see them through to the semi-finals where they beat Shropshire B. The Yorkshire lads got their revenge on Warwick and Worcester beating them in the final by 23 chalks - Seb's 21-0 definitely secured that win! 💪

Well done lads, fantastic achievement! Some good future talent to watch out for 👀

Today we hosted the home game final of the British Parks Crown Green Bowling Association Veterans County Championship where Yorkshire took on Wirral and District CGBA.

Captain Kev Wood led the home Yorkshire team to victory, including home bowler Mally Fowler showing off a brilliant come back in his game.

Congratulations to Yorkshire winning 16-11 overall.

Thank you to Wirral captain Brian Somerville and his team. Yorkshire and Wirral have played against each other before and today's game was in good spirit as usual.

Thank you to Liz E, Liz H and Phil for the catering and to Sarah for the bar.
