🎾 Another brilliant Wednesday Night Social! 💚💛

What a fantastic evening of tennis, fun and laughter at Cleckheaton Lawn Tennis Club! 🎾

It was lovely to see so many familiar faces, along with some new faces, both juniors and adults, coming along to give tennis and our club a try.

We finished the evening on a high with some fun group games and plenty of laughs!

Our Wednesday social sessions are FREE and open to everyone, whether you're a regular player or fancy coming along to see what we're all about. 💚

We're hoping to squeeze a few more weeks out of our evening sessions, weather and daylight permitting! 🌤️

🎾 AUTUMN TENNIS CAMP AT CLECKHEATON LAWN TENNIS CLUB! 🍂🧙

Looking for a fun and active way to keep the children entertained during October half term? Our Head Coach, Sam, will be running our yearly Autumn tennis camp for all children aged 5–16.

📅 Thursday:
October 29th

⏰ 10am–3pm
Early drop-off and late pick-up are also available.

The camp is suitable for a range of ages and abilities, with plenty of tennis, games, skills, activities and opportunities to make new friends!

🎾 Members: £20
🎾 Non-members: £25
🎾 25% multi-player discount

🎾🌟 What a Wednesday Nighter! 🌟🎾

Another brilliant evening at the club! ❤️

The weather stayed firmly on our side, and lots of our regular Wednesday Nighters turned up ready for a couple of hours of great tennis, plenty of laughs and some very competitive group games! 🎾😄

And then came the important part… 🍽️😋

Everyone brought something along and we ended up with an absolutely amazing spread! There was so much food, it was definitely a good job we’d worked up an appetite on court! 😂

We eventually settled down together for a proper feast, with plenty of time to eat, chat, catch up and have a really good laugh. 🥰🍰☕️

It’s no surprise that this has been voted by our Wednesday Nighters as one of the best events of the season — and we can see why! ❤️🎾

This wasn’t our last Wednesday evening! Our season finale will be decided by that ever-unpredictable combination of daylight and Yorkshire weather! 🌦️🌙

Thankfully, we have our newly crowned Club Member of the Year, Robert 🏆👏, keeping a very close eye on proceedings and keeping us all up to date with when the Wednesday Nighters officially come to an end!

A very worthy — and long-awaited — title for Robert! 😂👏

🎾 Just a little reminder about our Wednesday Nighters Faith Supper this Wednesday evening! 🍽️

The supper will take place after the tennis session, so once we’ve finished playing, we can all get together for some food, drinks and a good catch-up. 😊

It’s a lovely opportunity to relax after playing, have a chat and catch up with fellow members before the season starts to draw to a close.

🌙 Just to clarify – this is NOT the last Wednesday Nighters session!
The sessions will continue for as long as the weather and light allow. Robert will keep everyone informed when the season officially comes to an end, which is usually once the evenings become too dark for play.

🎾 Reminder – End of Season Presentation Day! 🏆

Just a reminder that our End of Season Presentation Day is tomorrow Sunday, 13th September, from 12pm–3pm, following social tennis.

This is one of our last big club events of the season, and we’d really love to see as many members as possible there.

It’s not just about the awards — it’s a chance to get everyone together, have some food and a few drinks, have a laugh and celebrate everything that’s been happening at the club over the season. Most importantly, it’s an opportunity to show your support for the members who will be receiving awards for their involvement in matches, events and club life. 🏆👏

🍽️ Bring something to share

Please bring along some food to share — anything you fancy!

We’ll have tea, coffee and soft drinks available. If you’d like something alcoholic, please feel free to bring your own. 🍻

🎟️ And don’t forget the raffle!

We’ll also be holding a raffle to help raise funds for the club.

If you have a prize, voucher or anything suitable that you could donate, we’d really appreciate it. Every contribution helps us continue putting on events and improving things for our members.

So, even if you don't usually come along to club events, why not join us this Sunday? Come for the food, stay for the awards, have a drink and catch up with everyone!

The more people who come along, the better the afternoon will be. ❤️🎾

We’ll also be holding a raffle as part of our fundraising for the club. If you have any prizes, vouchers or suitable donations that you could contribute, we’d be very grateful.
