A fantastic honour to have captained Great Britain 🇬🇧 40s women team in the World Tennis Masters in Lisbon, Portugal. 🇵🇹
Finishing 9th overall with wins over Faroe Islands 🇫🇴 , Switzerland 🇨🇭 and Finland 🇫🇮 ; only losing to the eventual champions Italy.

What a week !
GB women’s 40s finished in 9th place in the Masters World Team championships in Lisbon this week. They won against the Faroe Islands, Switzerland and Finland, only losing to eventual champions Italy. Well done to the team players Liz Thomas (c), Boglarka Berecz-Szatmari, Helen Adams and Samantha Spry 🇬🇧🎾👏

🎾 Another fantastic day of tennis success for Stonyhurst Sport!
Today it was the turn of our girls, with three fixtures hosted here at the College and they certainly delivered:
🏆 U14 Girls – 5–1 win (National 2nd Round)
🏆 U16 Girls – 6–0 win (National 2nd Round)
🏆 U18 Girls – 8–0 win (LTA Aberdare National Championships, 2nd Round)
All victories came against Merchant Taylors’, making it a clean sweep in three really competitive fixtures.
There’s plenty more tennis to look forward to next week, with our U18B boys travelling to St Peter’s York on Saturday, alongside the next rounds of the National Cup.
