CONGRATULATIONS SOPHIE 🎉

Second UCI gold of the year for Sophie Wright, and another huge result for the Ribble Outliers.

This weekend Sophie won the women's UCI 130km race at the Wish One Millau Grands Causses, one of the toughest rounds on the UCI Gravel World Series.

The course gives you nowhere to hide. Out of Millau and up the Pouncho d'Agast, into the wild Larzac tracks, then the exposed military camp section. It was there, with 70km still to ride, that Sophie made her move and went clear.
From that point, she rode the rest of the way alone, all the way to the finish on the plateau above the viaduct, crossing the line in 4:35:25, 23 minutes ahead of Sofia Schugar in second.

Sophie spent the final 70km riding alone to take the top step on the podium.

Next up: Luxembourg, where Sophie lines up alongside fellow Outliers Abi Smith and Jenson Young at UCI Eislek Gravel next weekend.

Our new film, The Ribble Outliers and The Traka, is live.
We go behind the scenes and get a first hand view of how the Ribble Outliers prepare for one of the hardest races in the world, and how they keep pushing even when things don't go to plan.

It's their weekend in Girona, and we get into the bike builds, the nutrition, and all the behind the scenes moments that make the team what it is.

Sophie had a great race in one of the most competitive women's fields of the season, finishing sixth, which is a big jump on last year's tenth. The 360 was a tougher day all round for the men, with Harry, Jenson, and Metheven all taking on over 300km on the Spanish gravel. The first casualty was Harry, who came down early, but he pushed through the pain of bruised ribs to still finish inside the top fifty. Metheven was caught out by a badly timed mechanical and had to fix his own bike at the roadside in forty-degree heat, while Jenson animated the front until an issue with his back forced him to stop.

What a Spring for the Ribble Outliers 🤩

Year two on the European gravel calendar, and the squad came to race at the front.

Sophie Wright won the UCI Monaco Gravel Race by nearly eight minutes back in April, then went sixth at the Traka 200 against the deepest women's field of the year.

On Sunday at Ranxo she led the bunch onto the opening climb, held seven watts per kilo for longer than most mortals would dream of, blew up, dropped to thirteenth, then rode eighty kilometres solo to claw her way back to fourth. Real competitive grit. 💪

Jenson Young took second at The UCI Gralloch off the back of a three-up break with Pöstlberger and Woods, with a puncture inside the final fifteen kilometres possibly beiing the only thing between him and the win.

Three Outliers were also in the top five at the 114, Jenson won Battle on the Beach outright and Metheven Bond took the second fastest of the day at the Dirty Reiver.

Spring in numbers 👇
🥇 Sophie, Monaco
🥇 Jenson, Battle on the Beach
🥈 Jenson, The Gralloch
🥈 Metheven, Dirty Reiver
🥈 Sophie, Santa Val GC
🥉 Sophie, 114 Plus top sixes at the Traka, Ranxo, Gravel Desert, Castellon and more.

Three months into season two and the Outliers are one of the best gravel teams in the world, with some of the biggest races still to come.

Hats off to Sophie, Jenson, Ben, Metheven, Josie, Abi, Harry and the whole crew making it happen. 🙌
