What. A. Day. π΄ββοΈβ€οΈ
A bit soggy? Yes. Did that stop Clitheroe showing up in style? Absolutely not. π
The Lloyds Tour of Britain Women 2026 Stage 2 rolled out from our town and the turnout was absolutely brilliant. Clitheroe, you should be incredibly proud of yourselves - the atmosphere, the support, the noise it was something really special.
Watching the world's best professional female cyclists set off from our high street, on roads we ride every single week, was genuinely one of those moments that gives you goosebumps. Rain and all. π§οΈ
A huge thank you to everyone who came and said hello at I Cycle, used our free bike parking, or simply stood on York Street and cheered their hearts out. This is what community looks like. β€οΈ

Have you heard about Ride the Lights? π²β¨
If you're looking for one of the most magical cycling experiences in the north of England this September, this is it!
Ride the Lights takes place on Tuesday 1st September 2026, and allows participants to cycle along the famous Blackpool Promenade after dark, enjoying the full spectacle of the Blackpool Illuminations without any traffic.
For one night only, around six miles of the Promenade is closed to traffic, from Starr Gate in South Shore all the way to Red Bank Road in Bispham. It runs from 7pm to 10pm and is open to all ages - families, friends, and visitors all encouraged to take part.
It's not a race, but a relaxed, community-focused event, and organisers encourage participants to decorate their bikes with colourful lights and creative displays. The more the merrier! π
And the best bit? It's completely free.
You can ride as much or as little of the route as you like, making it perfect for families with young children, nervous riders, or anyone just fancying a very special evening out.
And what better way to make sure your bike is ready for the occasion than popping into I Cycle beforehand? We can service your bike, sort your lights, check your tyres, and make sure everything is running perfectly for the big night. π§π²

This review absolutely made our week. βββββ
"I bought a custom built bike from iCycle a couple of years ago and have been delighted with it - it is a real pleasure to ride. I have revisited the shop for a routine service. Recently, I needed to upgrade my panniers and rear rack and visited the shop for advice. As ever, the staff were very friendly and helpful and talked me through the options. They replaced the old rack the next day and fitted the waterproof Oxford double panniers that I had chosen in the shop after being shown a number of options. The price I paid was very competitive with anything online and the service was first rate. I will remain a returning customer and can strongly recommend ICycle for bike purchases, servicing, repairs and accessories."
This is everything we strive for at I Cycle, not just selling a bike, but being there for every ride, every service, every upgrade, and every question along the way. A customer for life is worth so much more to us than a one-off sale.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this, it genuinely means the world to us. πβ€οΈ
And if we've looked after you too, we'd love it if you left us a Google review. It really does make a difference to a small, independent business like ours.

π² Children's bike lease - because kids grow and bikes shouldn't go to waste
π΅ Tannus puncture-proof tyres and we're the UK distributor
π« Fully funded bike maintenance courses for schools and community groups
π Approved service centre for Bosch, Shimano & Ribble.
We've been doing all of this since 2009. Quietly, consistently, and with a genuine love for cycling and this community.

Stage 2 starts RIGHT HERE in Clitheroe town centre and we couldn't be more excited if we tried.

The race itself will head out of Clitheroe from 11:30 BST along York Street to Chatburn, Grindleton, Sawley, Bolton-by-Bowland, Tosside and Slaidburn before heading over Waddington Fell and back through Clitheroe at the bottom of Chatburn Road, and up Pendle Road, over the Nick O' Pendle, down to Sabden, through Whalley then Hurst Green and Longridge and on to the finish line on the seafront at Blackpool at about 14:40.
