🏏 Important Update: Sunday’s Big Bash Cancelled 🏏

After careful consideration, the cricket committee has made the difficult decision to cancel this Sunday’s Big Bash. With the recent heavy rainfall and more wet weather forecast over the weekend, we believe this is the safest and fairest call for everyone involved.

We know how much this event means to our club and community, and we share your disappointment. Please know this decision wasn’t taken lightly – but player safety and ground conditions must come first.

A huge thank you to our dedicated cricket committee and junior committee members for all the hard work, planning, and passion you’ve poured into making this event what it was set to be. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed.

But don’t worry – the Big Bash will be back in 2027, bigger, bolder, and better than ever! 🌟

🏏What a brilliant Friday we have lined up for you at Church Meadow!🏏

It’s a jam-packed evening for all ages:
👦 Junior Training (6:15pm) – A fantastic session run by the brilliant Bobby Denning. Perfect for getting the kids active and having fun!

🥂 Refreshments (From 5:30pm) – The bar is open early! Quench your thirst with our famous cold pints, or treat yourself as we’re thrilled to now offer wine by the bottle – ideal for sharing with friends.

📺 Live Football (8pm) – Settle in after training as we screen the big Premier League opener: Arsenal vs Coventry in the clubhouse.

Come for the sport, stay for the atmosphere. We can't wait to see everyone there!

🎯 WEEKEND FIXTURES – TIME TO BOUNCE BACK! 🏏

After two tough league defeats, our 1st Team are back on home soil at Church Meadow this Saturday, hosting Atherton in the NWCL Championship. The lads are hungry, determined, and ready to turn that form around in front of our home crowd – your support could be the 12th man we need! 💪

Meanwhile, our 2nd Team are on the road with a serious point to prove. Fresh off a brilliant victory last week, they travel to league leaders Walkden in the NWCL Conference Premier. Confidence is high, momentum is building, and they’ll be looking to pull off another upset as they fight tooth and nail to climb the table. 🚀

🕕 6:15 PM – Junior Training kicks off! It’s always a fantastic turnout, and we love seeing new faces. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or picking up a bat for the first time, new members are always welcome. Bring the kids down to burn off some energy!

🍻 From 5:30 PM – The Clubhouse Bar is OPEN and pouring ice-cold pints, crisp wines, and your favorite refreshments. Grab a drink and soak in the great community vibe.

⚽️ 8:00 PM – Championship Football! We’ll be showing the big season opener live on our screens: Wolves vs Blackburn Rovers. Don’t miss a minute of the action!

🏏RIVALRY REUNITED FOR A GREAT CAUSE🏏

Our 1st team makes the short trip to Chatburn Road this evening for the annual Brian H Simms Memorial T20 against Clitheroe Cricket Club – a fixture that brings two local rivals together for the best possible reason.

This isn't just about the cricket - it's about bringing our two local rivals together to celebrate the life of a man who meant so much to both clubs. Brian will forever be remembered for his incredible passion for the local game and his wicked sense of humour!

Let's do him proud tonight. 💙

🏏 WHAT A WEEKEND FOR THE CLUB!

Yesterday was a fantastic day for Ribblesdale Wanderers Cricket Club as both our 1st and 2nd teams came away with well-deserved wins.

Now, the spotlight turns to our 3rd team who have the chance to complete the perfect weekend by making it three wins out of three! 🏆

They’ll be hosting Feniscowles Cricket Club at our home ground today, with play getting underway at 1:00 PM.

We’d love to see a big crowd down at the boundary to get behind the boys.

A quick note for visitors:
We do have a private event taking place in the function room this afternoon. However, please rest assured – the bar and toilet facilities are still fully accessible for all our members and the general public. So feel free to pop down for the cricket and a refreshment regardless!
