The £2510 Barbequick Pairs 2026

Congratulations to Paul KISSOCK & Martin GILPIN (Kendal) on winning The Barbequick Pairs 2026 at Ribblesdale Wanderers Sports Club. In the Final they defeated Graeme WILSON & Lee LAWTON (Droylsden/Failsworth) 21-6.

Paul & Martin received the £600 First Prize from and Ribblesdale Wanderers Club Chairman Michael Hall and Bowls Chairman Chris Snape. Graeme and Lee received £350 as runners up.

A good crowd was in attendance for The Barbequick Pairs Finals Day 2026 at Ribblesdale Wanderers and it was great day in the October sunshine.

Thanks go to all involved with running this year’s competition. The help once again from members and non members helps make it happen. Also to all the pairs who have entered this year’s event and those who have been and watched and supported the event.

A special mention to Barbequick who are celebrating 40 Years this year and have sponsored the competition since the very start! There has been some brilliant winners over the past few decades. A huge thank you to Barbequick and their continued support of this pairs competition at Ribblesdale Wanderers!

Finals Day - Sunday 11th October 1.00/1.30

The finals day of The Barbequick Pairs 2026 takes place on Sunday 11th October, starting at 1.30pm, practice from 1.00pm. 16 quality pairs have made it through to Sundays final and all will be looking to take home the £600 first prize!

A fantastic 16 pairs have battled through qualifying to create the stacked line up we have for the finals day. The line up has many of the top open competitions winners who will be looking to try take home The Barbequick Pairs title. It’s a strong field with all the great mix of top competition players and local interest too!

Also through is the defending champions Stuart Tipping & Alex Dawson, who will want to try defend their crown. As too are a number of former winners of this event. It promises to be a fantastic days entertainment.

They all want to take home the title and join an illustrious list of winners.

Here is how the finals day line up is shaping up after last nights third qualifying session. Twelve of the sixteen qualifiers have booked their place in the finals day of The £2510 Barbequick Pairs Finals Day on Sunday 11th October at Ribblesdale Wanderers Sports Club in Clitheroe.

Already some top names have made it through along with the defending champions who made it through last night. Former winners and major competitions winners make up the line up as well as a host of local interstate too, it’s shaping up to be a great finals day line up.
