Drumchapel Amateurs U19's

Always knew it was going to be a tough test against a top amateur side. We started well and matched them all over the pitch for the first 40 mins, restricting St Joe’s to limited efforts on our goals. Just before Halftime, we got punished with 2 quick goals, one being a dubious offside goal. Second half, St Joe’s started to dictate play and we got punished for every minor mistake, in an energy sapping half. Our task wasn’t helped when we had to finish the last 15 mins of the game, with only 10 men due to an injury, after all our subs had been made. Hard lessons learned but ones that will stand us in good stead going back into our league action. We wish St Joe’s all the best in the next round of the cup and their league campaign. ⚽️❤️🖤👏

Scottish Cup action tomorrow as we welcome St Joseph’s AFC to the . A tough test awaits us as we face a top Amateur side, but a test we are very much looking forward to. ⚽️❤️🖤💪

Another dominant and strong performance from the lads this morning against a Decent Westerton side. The hosts started on the front foot and for the first few minutes, we had stand up to some early pressure, but then we clicked into gear. Some of our attacking play was a joy to watch, our midfield was dominant and our defence was solid. We were unlucky not to keep the clean sheet after the Ref awarded the softest of penalties but 3 points on the road in this U19’s premiership league, isn’t to be sniffed at. Great way to start our league campaign ⚽️❤️🖤🫡

First league game for the season, as we make the short trip to Bearsden to face Westerton United. When the 2 sides met in the league last season, both games were tight affairs and tomorrow will be no different. It’s should be a cracker ⚽️❤️🖤💪

Time for another new but familiar face 🤔

We are delighted to confirm the signing of for season 2026/27. A familiar face, who who was our Top Goalscorer in season 2024/25 before stepping up to our U21’s last season. Ryan has a great knack of being in the right place at the right time, when he is in front of goal. A great addition to our attacking options and excited to see him back with us ⚽️❤️🖤🎯🫡

Back for Season 2026/27

We are delighted to have retained the signature of for another season. A composed defender, who has lightning pace. Odhran loves going on a “maize” run occasionally and when he does get on the score sheet, it’s usually a goal of the season contender ⚽️❤️🖤🫡

A strong 2nd half performance in our final friendly game tonight, before the league opener next weekend. First half we weren’t at our normal level. We were either over playing it in the final 3rd, trying to walk the ball into the net or hitting 45 yard World Cup passes and completely missing out the midfield. Our frustration was compounded when we went in the break 1-0 down, after losing a late goal right at the end of the half.

2nd half, the boys came out and immediately started to let the ball do work, with some slick passages of play, cutting Giffnock open at will and when the chances came our way, we were clinical. All focus now turns to our league opener next Saturday, when we travel to Westerton United ⚽️❤️🖤💪

Friendly game tonight under lights away to Giffnock, to keep us ticking over, in preparation for the league opener next weekend. More minutes in the legs and more opportunities for players to impress ⚽️❤️🖤💪

Another strong performance for the lads today away to Bo’ness United. We were always in control of the game but we just need to sharpen up in front goal, as we passed up chance after chance and also tighten up at the back, as the 3 goals conceded were soft by our standards. But 3 wins out of 3 in the league cup group is a great way to kick off our competitive season. ⚽️❤️🖤🫡

We make the trip to Bo’ness tomorrow in our final league cup group game. Even with top spot in the group already guaranteed, standards won’t be allowed to drop, as we continue to build our fitness and match sharpness for the upcoming league campaign ⚽️❤️🖤💪
