Coagh United U14s vs TTBS

Another excellent result for our U14s today as the boys travelled to Lismore College in Craigavon to take on TTBS in their second Championship fixture.

We had a couple of late changes this morning, with Micah ruled out through injury. Harry stepped into nets at the last minute, while Logan was drafted into the squad to provide cover.

The conditions were extremely difficult, with strong winds making it a challenging day for football, particularly on a grass pitch.

The boys started brightly but found themselves behind three times in the first half. Credit to them, they kept responding and battling back, going into half-time level at 3–3.

In the second half, playing against the wind, the boys really stepped up their performance. They showed great composure on the ball, played some excellent football and scored twice to go 5–3 ahead. TTBS pulled one back with five minutes remaining, making for a nervy finish, but the boys dug deep and held on for a 5–4 victory.

There were some absolutely cracking goals from both sides, with Cooper, Ollie and James all producing brilliant finishes.

A special mention to Harry for stepping into nets at short notice on a really difficult day for goalkeepers. Viktor and Christian marshalled the defence really well, limiting TTBS’s opportunities, while the midfield battled hard and showed some excellent quality on the ball. The boys up front worked tirelessly and always provided an outlet.

Overall, really pleased with the attitude, work rate and character shown by the entire squad. TTBS were a good side, and the boys had to work extremely hard to get the result.

Coagh United U13 6–1 Lurgan Celtic
Coagh opened the scoring early when Toby found the net with a tidy finish. The pressure kept coming, quickly leading to a second goal via an own goal. Lurgan Celtic managed to pull one back, but Coagh responded immediately as James was rewarded for his hard work by driving home a third goal.
The boys picked up right where they left off after the break. Matty extended the lead with a brilliant strike, followed by the lively Lewi, who finished neatly at the back post. Conor capped off a dominant day by reacting fastest to a rebound off the post following a strike from Luke T. The squad also showed great versatility with several players stepping into different positions across the pitch.

U17s | TTBS 5-1 Coagh United ⚽️

A tough night against a bigger, more physical outfit.

We started brightly, playing some good football and moving the ball well, but just lacked that end product. Two quick goals before half-time left us with another uphill battle.

In the second half, we pulled one back and looked to be getting ourselves back into the game, only to concede a penalty that restored the two-goal gap.

Once again, there are lessons to be learned, and we’ll take them on board and keep working hard. 💪

Thanks, as always, for your support! 💙

🏆 Man of the Match – Vasco Russo

Covered a lot of ground and stood up well to the physical challenge in the middle of the park. A much-improved performance this week, Vasco — a lot more like you! Keep it going. Well done! 👏👏

MATCH REPORT | COAGH v LURGAN TOWN 💙

Coagh 0–1 Lurgan Town

A massive well done to our girls last night! 💙👏

Although the result wasn’t what we wanted — or what we felt the girls deserved — every single girl showed incredible determination, effort and drive from start to finish. That’s all we can ever ask of them. 💙

We’ve seen such a massive improvement in the girls’ confidence on the pitch, and the hard work they’re putting in at training is really showing! ⚽️🔥 Every week they are growing in confidence, belief and ability, and it’s fantastic to watch.

We also want to wish Leah a speedy recovery from her ankle injury and Brooke from her knee injury. ❤️‍🩹 We hope you both feel better very soon and are back out on the pitch with us before long! 🩷⚽️

💙 MAN OF THE MATCH — POPPY 💙

Our Man of the Match last night was Poppy, who showed incredible strength and skill with the ball in defence! 💪⚽️

For one of the youngest players on the team, Poppy showed absolutely no fear, putting in some fantastic tackles and applying great pressure to the opposition throughout the game. What a performance! 👏💙

Well done, Poppy! 💙🔥

Finally, a huge thank you to all the parents, families and supporters who made the journey to watch the girls last night. 💙👏

It’s always amazing to see the support system our girls have behind them, cheering them on from the sidelines. Your support means so much to the team! 🔥💙
