A wee squad mover at CrossFit Puerto Banús today.

Body moving before the big show on Friday at Marbella Championship

Big thanks to Mario for opening up early to let our gang train

Big shout out to Michelle Maguire who pitched up in first place at THE RAINHILL TRIALS // FITNESS EVENTS 🥇

I say this all the time. The hardest thing to do is win a comp in your own. Not partner or teammates to dig you out. Indi’s have a class way of showing you exactly where you are.

One of the hardest grafters in the gym is Michelle Maguire. Consistency is king.

We’ve been open 3 and a bit years and we’ve had 4 THE RAINHILL TRIALS // FITNESS EVENTS winners. Not to shabby.

Building anything worthwhile takes time. At times you’ll feel like the progress is slow but slow progress is better than no progress.

Progression and development are never linear. Keep moving.

The AO Compete and AO Restructure Programs will be live today.

🏋🏽‍♀️🤸🏽🏃🏽‍♀️ - This program has been designed with competition in mind. A structured 15 week program to prepare you competing at a high level. To help you build your strength, engine and skills to a higher level.

The sessions are 3 hours long. They’re structured and what you need to get the most out your training in the time you’ve got. I know normal people don’t have hours every day to spend in the gym. Life be life’n is how someone put it to me the other day. I understand that. So this program is designed to work alongside the life’n lives of the people that want to get better.

The program is designed to improve you. If you stick to it. There’s lots of skill work under fatigue. Lots of work that pushes you into uncomfortable situations. It’s a program that’s hard but hard stuff makes you better.

Use it for a goal of the comp floor or even if you’re just looking to level up in your own gym space so you can train with the big dawgs in the gym and do some more cool s**t.

💪🏽🤩 - AO Restructure is something a bit different for this space. There is zero skill in this program. No gymnastics. No Olympic lifting.

AO Restructure is here to help you get fit and in shape. And by fit I don’t mean just looking fit. I mean being actually fit enough to still run a 5k or do your favourite class without feeling like you’re about to crock it.

Nutrition will play a big role in this program. It won’t be a calorie crash. That’s not what I do. You won’t have to walk from Lands End to John O’Groats every day for steps either.

A steady and progressive structure for both of these programs. One designed for performance and progression. The other designed to get you in a shape you’re happy with.

Both these programs will be supported the full way through by some class coaches. If you’ve ever seen any of the AO squad at competitions. You’ll know we build them right and we support them. The same thing happened with these programs.

“It’s new to everyone at some point”

There’s a shout I dispose more than any others when it comes to training. “I’ll get fit then I’ll start” or “I’m not fit enough to train there”.

That’s my job. You wouldn’t take driving lessons if you could already drive.

You don’t have to be an amazing athlete and you don’t have to be fit to start at Athletes Only. My job is to get you fit. To make you a better athlete. All you really have to do is show up. No ego. And work. If you do that then you’ll progress.
stone is living proof of that. From a complete newbie who had never did a deadlift before to a competent all round athlete who now competes at RX level having won numerous competitions at intermediate. He just showed up. Listened. And did.

“The chase”

There’s certain people that need the gym for differing reasons. Some it’s body. Some it’s fitness. But one common thing I hear all the time is “I need it for my head”.

I’ve preached for a long time, well before I started Athletes Only, that a healthy body creates a healthy mind and that the best for anyone is in the gym. Regardless of training styles.

is a walking example of someone that’s completely changed his life through training. You become the company you keep and he’s in good company at Athletes Only.

He’s a true example of being
