Spring brings spurts of excitement and deep restlessness: the buds grow silently while for human beings the Spring is noisy. We are full of plans and projects. Spring brings out excitement and wonder, and the practice modulates the jangle of its extremes. We introduce twists to promote flexibility: we consider the sides as well as the front and back of the body, like a rushing stream which needs clean banks. We feel the need to get longer and stretch out again.
March - April Spring Timetable:

Wednesday 7th January - 10.15 to 11 am & 11.15 to 12pm - yoga and movement classes for women, gentle stretching, releasing movement, guided breathwork practices - relaxation.
Friday 9th January - 10 to 11.15 am - a yoga practice to suit everyone. Join my next 5 week course this coming Friday.

Yoga and You ☆ A life Journey ☆
If you have recently found my page, yes, it is Living Joy Yoga.
There is so much more to yoga than asana. Over time, you will begin to see and experience for yourself. "The main objective of hatha yoga is to create an absolute balance of the interacting activities and processes of the physical body, mind, and energy" Hatha Yoga pradipika.
I find it impossible to separate my life into boxes of this and that. Very often, I share and integrate my art, music, poetry (which I share in all of my classes), and lots of other things that interest me like places and people the whole tapestry of life coming together.
Here I am with my love practising yoga half moon pose on the side of rocks on the beach in North West Scotland... in October. Yan says I could balance on a washing line, many years of practice. He is a climber, so together, we do enjoy yoga and other movement modalities, and it is a daily practice that is always evolving.. always learning.
